This happens quite a lot - i grow organically in soil - i dont know if its due to fungus gnats or heat stress or changes in hunidity but it seems i get less and less leaves as the grow goes on with some curling upwards and going yellow and then eventually falling off

Can anyone help?

I've had the same issues the first few times I grew in soil with MG. They looked just like yours. I never did iron out the problem directly, as they turned out to be smokeable. But in subsequent grows, I focused on proper PH and proper watering, and they turned out way better.

I use biobizz grow and bloom according to the biobizz chart gradually upping the nutrients as the grow goes on (sometimes giving them only fresh water in between week cycles)

I aslo use advance nutrients bud candy, big bud and overdrive

@flamdargs - i do check the pH (keep it about 6) - i think the advance nutrients stuff has pH perfect in it so that your pH is always automatically corrected - well it always works for me

I water according to the biobizz schedule that is posted up online and gradually increase the bloom content with a small amount of grow in there throughout the cycle

Looks like they are starving too me....hard to tell exact colors because of light source but I see what appear to be alot of purple/red in the stems and petioles. Could be lack of N or P. Possible signs of a Mg. deficiency. Overall lacking a complete diet.......

Honesty im just feeding them according to the chart... i dont know why this happens?

Why isn't the advanced stuff organic? - i always thought it was

How does a chart know what your plants need. You see the plant, not Biobizz.....whats your ph? type of medium? water source? I see a hungry plant for one reason or another..........

I think the Bud Candy is organic but do not think the Overdrive and Big Bud dont think so. But may be wrong.

is that fan blowing directley onto the leafs? if so could be burning the leafs it might not be the real cause of the problem but it will not help the leafs as they will burn.

Anytime I use advanced nutrients I end up with nute burn...no matter how little I use....so yeah...don't know what to tell ya....tried using it my first grow---did not go well...killed my first plant, and the second lived to bud but looked awful and my yield was super low...but now I am using technaflora's recipe for success and I LOVE it!!!! So easy to use and understand, and everything you need comes in the one kit. Not saying you should switch, but maybe just try something that isn't quite as "advanced" as Advanced Nutrients....lol.

Ph of 6 for soil is too low. Could be toxicity of some elements and lockout of others. Soil should be closer to 6.5 to 6.8, tap water may be hard causing issues, chlorine/bromine maybe in the water? You count on PH magic in the AN nutes, its always worked yet you always have this problem. Just my 2 cents, they are hungry for some reason.....

Was just reading up on dutch master... currently i don't check the ppm of my nutrient solution - do i need to do this?

And how would i go about adjusting the ppm?

You would add more or less nutrients depending on whether or not you want to decrease or increase the str. I dont think under feeding a plant will kill it in the way yours is behaving. And I don't think you are showing nute burn. I would fix a ph problem first before a nute str problem. at PH 6 you are locking out P, CA, and MG. Might be a good thing to check on if your plant is demonstrating deficiencies in these.

Thanks for the advice guys - ill try it at 6.5 pH from now on, do i still need to check ppm?

I need to change my base nutrients soon anyway as i am running out of biobizz grow and bloom and want to try something else - any suggestions?

My favorite base nutrients are:

Sensi A&B Grow
Sensi A&B Bloom

But AN also makes Grow-Micro-Bloom, if that makes more sense for you.

I've never had troubles with AN, and I don't think a lot of other growers I know have either. I wonder if something else is going on besides your nutes.

Too many growers think that things are hunky dory with their grow room, so they blame the nutes, but that's not always the case.

And when you have the right pH level, you might want to look out for other explanations. Just saying...

why do you need nutes if you are growing in allmix? this stuff allready has an ec that many would consider too high for most plants, the low ph is possible due to too much nutes and the leaves are burned or more likely a lock out due to ph, maybe magnesium. if you are going to use nutes on soil you should never go above an ec of about 0.8, and if your containers are big enough 15ltr min you shouldnt need nutes with good soil.
