very odd.

and yeah... no shit about them thick stalks... i tried bending one a lil bit yesterday, as i was thinking about lst myself.... but i was thinking that the massive amounts of branches could do fairly well with LOS training (Laid On Side
).... they have fallen down before, and looked really neat when i found them.... may have to give it a shot..... waiting on a stalk big enough to carve MY initials into

still more issues with the jack.... getting some bad ph spotting/lockout... specifically too low of a ph... its this damn "garden soil" with all the wood, combined with the heavy 'earth juice' feedings... gonna be transplanting into better soil this evening, and also adding some dolomitic lime to bump the ph upward a bit.

..... plant looks BAD though.... transplanted yesterday, added about 4 tblsp of dolomitic lime to buffer the low ph.... looks worse, but i kinda expected that... hopefully the next few days it will perk up..
i am open to ANY suggestions.. this is the wost problem i have encountered in my short growing history,,, thought i had this shit down, then i get hit in the ass by some unknown force

it needed i about 3 weeks ago. now it probably got sick with something else because it was weak due to lack of nitrogen.
i have a few next door in the ground that are getting some weird striped yellow marks on the leaves. when i was tilling that area there was a lot of wood in that one spot. there used to be a wood pile there and there was still some small sticks breaking down here and there. the soil was really loose and fluffy and looked really good. i think it's messing with that one plant though. the others next to it look fine.

so i have the luck of running into a problem that you havent yet???....
im trying not to sweat it... know it takes a minute sometimes in dirt, so i'm leaving them alone for a day or so... see what happens... just water, and then i'll decide (after an update and input of course
) what to do from there.... im feeling like they will perk up a lil bit tomorrow and will be ready for a good feeding in their new soil by tomorrow evening.... we will see... (btw, nothing 'organic' to foliar feed with atm

These necrotic spots forming on old and young leaves tells me you're suffering bigtime from molybdenum deficiency.

which in your basic soil, you should never run into without a lockout problem.... or am i wrong here too??

Actually molybdenum is present in only trace amounts, it's the 53rd most abundant material in most soil, at about 1-3mg per kilogram of soil. It's gone pretty quickly so you can get deficient. Thankfully there are molybdenum foliar feeds you can do, though I'd avoid foliar feeding and go with trying to re-enrich the soil with a molybdenum additive.

i would consider just about every other possibility before assuming molybdenum, the rarest of deficiencies....
it needs nitrogen so it can get green and try to stave off any more attacks. if it's fed properly it is a very hearty plant. it just needs A LOT of nitrogen. it has to be given over a longer period of time though so as not to burn it. but it needs it BAD.
