I have 4 1000's total that are on two separate duct runs using separate 435 CFM 6 inch inline fans. The ducts pull air from the portholes I have cut out in a window and pushes it through 2 reflectors each duct run, then out of the room and I would be plugging into the chimney after that somehow instead of exhausting into the ambient basement air. As of yet, I don't exactly have a plan to replace the basement air but I was under the assumption I wouldn't need to since the exhausts are pulling air from the outside, it would be sealed aside from the small cracks and holes in the reflectors and duct work.
I also plan on hooking a 14KBTU portable A/C both inside and outside of the room. One is already installed inside the room (as of right now it is both intaking and exhausting air from and back into the basement just outside of the room) and I would hook the other up on the outside of the room for the purpose of keeping my work area cool while working in the basement. Obviously, I need to get the portable A/C ducting sealed and pulling/pushing air from/to the outside of the house.
I hope this makes enough sense to give me some ideas. I was going to just pick up a couple carbon monoxide detectors and set them up near the furnace and water heater and just see what works through trial and error. If the information I have provided is not enough, I would be happy to take some photos and draw up some diagrams with MSPaint. Thanks for your response
