Thank you. Any constructive criticism is welcome.Damn good job there guy. I'm impressed
Yeah it does but its been working the trick is to use 1 gal jugs instead of normal bottles, and I probably will just to broke at the moment. That sucks about the frozen water bottle method. I would consider pulling the trigger on an actual water chiller.
In lieu of a chiller, you might consider picking up some H2O2 or Pool Shock. I run an antiseptic res by adding ~2 ml 37% H2O2 every 3 days and I never have a problem with critters or root damage. Pool Shock is even cheaper and does the trick almost as well.Yeah it does but its been working the trick is to use 1 gal jugs instead of normal bottles, and I probably will just to broke at the moment.
I have some hth pool shock but i prefer too only use it if i have a problem. Hth is like putting a band aid on a cut that needs stitches, the problem isnt root rot its root temperature. In lieu of a chiller, you might consider picking up some H2O2 or Pool Shock. I have no idea haha until this grow my system was much different. A few things different about this grow are, its drain to waste instead of recirculating, i used to scrog and this time i just low stress trained them, and my watering times(duration and number of times i water a day) have changed as well as my medium i used to have none and now the buckets are filled with hydroton. Im hoping for a gram per watt.(sadly i think ill be just shy of my goal)So what have you been yielding with this set up so far?
Nope. It's not a band aid. One usually doesn't put on a band aid unless they have an injury. At low concentrations Pool Shock is a preventive measure. It keeps the critters in your res subdued so you don't get a problem. It's effective, as is peroxide. I understand that some growers are adverse to adding oxidative agents to your res, but it's emotional, not for scientific reasons.I have some hth pool shock but i prefer too only use it if i have a problem. Why not just get a water chiller though does same thing as peroxide/pool shock without putting anything in the reservoir. But sodium hypochlorite(pool shock) is toxic in mid-high concentrations and could potentially react with some of my other nutes as well. And with peroxide im in the same boat as the water bottle method having to add more all the time due to the water only being able to hold so much oxygen most of the peroxide is gone in no time especially under higher temps.Nope.
