Today after work I tore into my crawler to find a crack that appeared a couple winters ago when it stayed -40ºF for weeks on end. Had the antifreeze mixed too light and the coolant froze and cracked the front engine housing. I rarely use this machine so I didn't notice it right away. Probably going to pick up a torch and braze it shut, it's not under much pressure so hopefully it'll hold.

Rugrat loves the zip line, and the small platform that's wrapped around a tree to get at it. I put railings on it (hundreds of LF of whatever I need at hand, some culled materials from other projects, extras, etc. Had some 12" wide composite fascia that couldn't be used elsewhere so that went on.) Now the little one has taken to reading on the platform, and I've been asked to build an addition already

Here's another project I'm taking on. 95 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 with 5.7 (350) motor.

Picked this up for only $600. The body is rough but the drive train is perfect.

I have new metal for the rockers coming soon, the rest I'll fiberglass after I remove the rust. Already have newer tires with matching rims and a better rear bumper.

Fuck, it took my mechanic 2 days to fix a low tire pressure alarm on a 2010 Ford...didn't want to open all 4 tires looking for a bad sensor, had to have a guy come in with a special $3K scanner...no more Fords, too many computer glitches. YT is full of problem vids...

I ripped all the sensors out of my Nissan Versa and put in regular valve stems. They stopped working after a year then started to leak. Fuck replacing them.

I've got three of those fucking trucks I don't know if I love them or if I just like the idea of having backups for my backups haha

I'm loving how cheap the parts are and how easy it is to work on. :smile:

Got a good portion of it ripped apart and a bunch of the new parts came today, still have a bunch more to get. I'm replacing the entire front end and updating it a little, going with a newer year and better lights. Figure I'll have $700 in parts and it'll look like a new truck.

And more desirable than a new one...worry too much about scratching new trucks...they are work oriented vehicles, my 9 year old F150 is in the prime of it's life!

I like single cab 8' bed retro trucks. I got mine new...and they had have it brought in from out of state. Stupid sales guy kept insisting I needed a back seat and a 6 1/2' bed like 'everybody else'. I'll pick my own truck pal...unless it's free.

i got a short bed crew cab.. its pretty nice inside.. and i really only use the bed to carry around dirtbikes. i got my work truck for carrying everything else around. its a chevy 2500 van done by spartan.. looks identical to this
