Hey all! Im looking for some help. Im new to the promix world and need somw help, cant seem to get dialed in. Im using house and garden nutes and promix hp. Im at around 700ppm in veg with 5ml of calmag and 7a and 7b. Growth looks pale and stems are purple. Any help would be greatly appreciated! im watering at 6.3 with ro water and was feeding everytime but then tried feed feed water and now trying feed water feed to see if i have a build up happening.

Well aside from the purple stems they look pretty good to me. It's normal to have the smaller leaves a bit yellow until they get bigger. The leaves look nice and green, no burnt tips. Definitely not overfeeding.

ive never had a healthy plant with pale growth and purple stems. The entire plant is a pale green not just the small leaves

Looks like a normal green to me but I could be wrong. You keeping temps at at least 80? Are the pots sitting in the runoff water after you water them?

Hm then honestly idk. You could try posting in the marijuana problems part of the forum, it gets more traffic than this part and I bet some people more knowledgeable than me could figure it out. Happy holidays!

What’s the PH & PPM of the runoff?
Have you checked for bugs? On the plant and in the runoff?
What cal/mg are u using?
When was the last time you calibrated your meters ?

I think your PH is to high , slowing mg intake. (Just a guess)

I see no bugs. Ph meters are freshly calibrated and i always double check with drops. The ppm is about 200 morw coming out as going in and ph was 6.4 last feed. Using calmag + botanicare

Everyone has told me to keep feeding at 6.3? Im already using the max 5ml per gallon of calmag. And my aqua flakes has lots of calcium and mag apperently? How much more calmag should i need?

If your using 5ml pre gallon, I wouldn’t up it .

I would keep your ph 5.9 - 6.2
If your using soil, you would want a higher PH, but ProMix isn’t soil, it’s more like hydro

Try watering with 5.5 and seeing what the RO ph is.

Keep watering with a lower PH till you get it back in the sweet spot.

Or flush it with 25% nutes to bring in range.

Your the first person to tell me to lower my ph. Most have told me to try 6.5 for better use of cal and mag. Even in hydro cal and mag should be able to be uptaken at 6.3 i would think?

Are you wateting until runoff? Are you doing a feew water feed schedule? On water only days is it just plain ro water? Sorry if i sound like in arguing with you! I appreciated your input!

I almost always water till run off,
I let the plants tell me how much n when for the most part , ppm’s are relative , and depends on strain , phenos, CO2 , lights , plant size , etc it’s all a big puzzle .
But usually I feed once a week, and I use about 15ml GH cal/mg per gallon , always .


I know other growers that feed a constant ppm every watering with good results too.

You add 15ml/g of calmag every feed/water? That is over 700 ppm of just calmag, then i add my base i would be at 1500ppm.My pots are dry in 2 days so i would feed and then 3 times then feed?
