Protect from light pollution

I live in a city with lots of light and at night I feel like my plants are not getting dark enough. Do you guys know of any way I can protect my plants from the neighboring lights at night?

a very large box (like a washing machine or water heater box) painted white on the outside, and placed over your plants from a set time in the evening to a set time 12 hours later (on at 7 pm off at 7 am for example, every day) will help you get her flowering right.

A trashcan will also work and Dr looks like I'm stalking u tonight lol
Trashcan is a good idea, nothin suspicious about a trashcan... if the plant is gettin REAL BIG (which i am in favour of) you might need to make a darkness tent frrom cheap timber or bamboo and black weed barrier fabric, or buy a motorcycle or car cover. maybe even an RV or boat cover, dare we dream. just dont crush your foliage.

just go Gilligan's island on that bitch! get some long slender branches (bamboo, camelia and willow come to mind) and tie them into a framework, with the bottom staked to the ground with poultry staples so it doesnt blow away in the wind. make a frame like Gilligan's hut, bound with string, no nails or screws or anything like that.

get a large stretch of dark fabric (weed barrier cloth, camping tarps, an old tent you wouldnt mind cutting the bottom off of, a bunch of dark colored cotton sheets etc) and tie them to the frame on the top bars. every evening flip them down, every morning roll them up or take them off. easy and cheap.
