This seems to be a mixed topic............some guys like to clip everyone off some say dont clip any thing off. Im growing kush outdoor and i have been salectivly pruning the fan leafs that are shading the other tops. Ive bent over the main stock 90 degrees to the ground and all the branchs are stickin up like a hedge. I have about 2 months left in veg.

Any input is welcome i just wanna know what everyone else does and there results :-o

i heard that the intensity of the sun requires less pruning as it penetrates more than indoor grow lights. I prune only the leaves that are covering big bud sites

I trim all my lower stuff but the larger leaves up by the buds stay until they start to die on their own. There are a few fan leaves left on this one but as they yellow they start to fall off.

Just don't take all of them off. Remember that they are your plant's main element for photosynthesis. Keep in mind though, other fan leaves will grow back, and you'll still be with the same problem. Oh, and it'll stunt your grow. I experimented with one plant and it took about a week or two to recover and keep on growing. If you can mind that, and you don't kill your plant in the process, I'd say go for it.

By the way, NoGutsGrower, you should probably stick some bamboo sticks in there or something bro, those buds are about to fall off!

I have them tied up in the room, I don't like shoving bamboo into my soil it breaks roots. I have bars going across just under the canopy line that they get tied to. just had to take it down and out of the room for a min to take the picture

If it's green and getting light, leave it alone, you'll end up doing more damage than good otherwise.

Pruning should be reserved for parts of the plant not getting light or yellow leaves only IMO.
