Pruning for bigger buds.

I always grow WAY more than I need and end up giving away pounds every year, I also keep plenty of pre-rolls handy and If I see someone in need, or a gas station attendant (Oregon) washes my windshield I tip them a joint or two.
I’m thinking of dedicating one plant to do some fairly extreme pruning just to see if fewer branches and bud sites will produce LARGE buds.
Has anyone experimented with this?

I’ve got two candidates to try this with, both Humboldt Seed Co genetics. Humboldt Dream and Dream Queen.

It definitely works, if you live in an area where bud rot is an issue then you may want to go with a greater number of smaller buds as opposed to larger buds. Bigger buds are more prone to bud rot, and when you get bud rot on a small bud it's not as big of an issue, you just snip off that bud and move on. It's much harder to successfully cut out a chunk of bud rot from a big cola and when you do there is a higher chance of the bud rot returning and/or continuing to grow within that cola.
