pruning unexpected stretch in flower?

Got two girls, each under 1000 watt. 20 gallon pots, blah blah bla....

This strain was given to me by a friend, northern lights x blueberry bomb, honestly, it could be Durban posion by dutch passion, I may have mixed them up in there youth :-\ , but I was never going to admit it until now...let just call her tina, she's a nitrogen whore. On the left in rope tote.

Anyways, I begin the flower n about 3 days in I noticed a very uneven stretch, so I implemented several tactics, switched to mh bulbs, bumped night temps up, things to assist, well none of them worked as I had hoped...

The tops, nearly 100 of them, have long spacing between nodes, like 6"...
It looks ridiculous...

Now on day 15, I'm worried... If I continue on this route, what will the outcome be? Light airy nugs huh..?

If I were to prune the tops and pinch them off, I would lose yeild but get denser buds right? Better yet, would she even survive lol?

Ok, not funny...

I just want to know what my options are and obviously which one is the best.

Shes a beauty below the waist, or net, I would have never even put her in a net if I knew it was going to be anything like this or even topped her, let alone 100 times.. FML

STUPID! STUPID!

:wall:

Let me know guys...

Thanks

Peace, love n respect

Jay

(This is not most recent pic, only one I had on hand though, Ill put one up when I get home)

looks ok to me. if they are growing uneven just poke them back down through the screen. If you want to reduce stretch you should lower the lights if possible.

Never cut the tops of a budding plant. Maybe a little under brush thinning, but don't cut tops after 2 weeks before budding. They look fine, gently twist all the stems to make them strong enough to support buds. Stretch could mean longer bud growth period & bigger buds. Good growing!!!

Those pics are before stretch, I'll get new one up once lights come on... Everything below net is great, everything above is very stretchy, like two nodes in top 12", didn't think she was gonna react like this, I think I mixed her up, has to be a Durban posion... You'll see once I get pics up... But guess I just gotta hold on and hope for the best...
