I would like to give a new update on the room.... I have be been at it off and on since 1am this morning trying to dial in the venting and ducting. It has wore me out and down completely...
Finally, I went with the straight duct out from fan/filter then the duct coming off my hoods is also vented straight out, I did away with the Y fitting. Had to drill out another 6 inch outlet/exhaust into the concrete wall. Hooked every thing up and set the thermostatically controlled outlet and every thing is finally running in a preferable range for me. At first the temps hit 79.9 to 80.4, then I turned my floor fan on to get air circulation around the room and it dropped and stayed steady around 76.5 and I had all 4 1000 watt lights dialed up to full power while conducting the test. Very little fluctuation in the temps in a 4 hour period.. Temps were actually dropping towards 74 below when I stopped the test and left the room.
And keep in mind winter is not over yet, and today and tomorrow is supposed to be one of our warmest days this week (and raining non stop unfortunately)... So this makes it even better for me, knowing that it stayed manageable during a warmer than usual day. One thing I noticed though was the temp controlled outlet never kicked off so its basically doing all it can do.
Now it is time folks... For the the flip, the switch.... The 12.... 12, flowering period!
Keep in mind I conducted this test in warmer than average weather and through the day at that. Though I will be running lights on during the night, through the coldest temps as this will help me keep it coolest to its maximum potential.
I ain't flipped the switch yet, gonna hit the sack in about 30 mins and dial in the timer (which looks complicated as hell, much different than other dial timers that I have used) when I wake up. Got a few pics when I was in there piddling around with the exhausting issue today. Diregard the insulated duct on the right side of picture, that is not connected to anything anymore.....
Lets start with a pic I snapped of the canopy yesterday... Glad to finally see that orange shade on the leaves in my photos of the gals!
Here is the GG4 clone only, showing me her signature "twisted leaves"...She's a twisted, stretchy, BIG dirty girl! This is my first time with Glue... So I am fixing to lose my "Gluginity" haha..
I like these temps MUCH better than 80 plus!
Here are some more canopy pics, taken today, the last pics of Veg we will see... I do plan on getting individual photos of the plants though once they are spread out and put in place to flower, since I have none yet.
And finally (yes I know I could have done a better detailed photo lol, but I was ready to get out of there and sleep) here is a view of my setup, without the oscillating fans of course, those will come shortly, just using my box fan for now, blowing straight across from the inlet, straight down between the canopy and the reflectors for now, this seems to keep the degree a little lower as well.
Thanks guys for all of your help and advice with the venting issue I was having! I still plan on grabbing an 8 inch fan when I can and replacing that 6in. Tomorrow I will throw up more photos once every thing is in place and ready for the flip...
