Ive tripped on shrooms on the coast, i just sat on the sand and watch the waves for about 4 hours just pouring the sand over legs coz it felt so nice. I had no urge what so ever to go swimming was just so peaceful.

But this sounds brilliant do it!
 
ha this is the sort of shit people die from that gives drugs a bad name, howabout taking ketamin and going driving?
j/k i guess it is completely to do with how comfortable u are in the water, the worst that could really happen is u decide to swim to the surface really quick so i wouldn't go too deep, i cant see how you would drown if your there with friends

It might sound dumb but when the idea eating mushies or maybe lsd and scuba dive on a coral reef came to mind, It became part of my bucket list.

I understand the dangers of being underwater with an altered conscious or reality, but my interest strongly overpowers any fears. I don't plan on going too deep anyways and a spotter will be swimming with/in sight of me.

I've eaten shrooms 5 times prior to writing this, but I will have more experience by the time I actually get around to doing it.
I'm thinking the two options are the caribbean or hawaii. I could either use a mini-breather (30 minute tank) or get certified and use a normal scuba tank.


p.s. has anyone ever swam upside down near the surface of the water with goggles? if so please relate because I think that would be amazing while tripping

I went scuba diving the Philippines for 3 weeks and it was amazing w/o anything. Glad to hear you talk a little safety an d certs. If you're going to do it may I recommend a sober dive partner[to babysit], a helmet[you you don't drop your regulator and drown, and finally a rebreather. With the rebreather there will be no sound and no time limits. You will have some depth restrictions as with the rebreather you won't have the ability to run mixed air. Although for what your interested in this should be of no concern because you won't see a lot of coral beyond 30 to 35 meters. After his first experience Jerry Garcia said had they know about scuba earlier they wouldn't have done all those drugs.

Im a really avid surfer Im 20 and have been surfing since i was about 12. I get stoned and surf all the time and sometimes I get a little uncoordinated in the water but nothing i cant handle. my question is simliar to yours. do you think surfing while tripping on a really mellow 2 ft/ 3ft wave day would be smart or be a disaster. sober surfer and possibly a gay life jacket just incase i think im surfing clouds or fire or something. cant wait to trip tomorrow, gonna be a fucking blast!

I have a friend who told me about her experience surfing on shrooms(in florida so it wasn't too big or powerful surf) but she said the feeling of connection with the ocean and the feeling of the water on the surface of her skin stood out the most. besides everything being very vibrant, colorful, and euphoric.

I would so go for it just surf with a buddy you shouldn't need a jacket unless your in cali or somewhere with real heavy surf. in which case it might be a bad idea anyways
 
my brother pointed something out today...no one is gonna want to stay sober when your with friends and shrooms in the caribbean or wherever. So i'm gonna have to find a non tripper friend for the trip since thats pretty important

I swam along side a huge sea turtle for almost half an hour in Hawaii..it was magical, i could only imagine that experience while tripping.

I jumped in at night with my flashlight to do a little night snorkel along side the beach and saw squid, lobsters, all kinds of weird sea cucumber creatures, and out of the depths a large reflective mass swam my direction, a 7ft tarpon came up and swam right next to me within reaching distance..scared the shit out of me. my heart would have exploded if I was tripping then.

yea i would definitely agree with this, and if your just at a reef (which would probly be the best place) then you don't have to be very deep. plus rather than floating still you'll pulse with the waves :-P , which would probly be GREAT -sorry that pulse ideas just comin at me cus im baked and sippin some crown really wantin to trip -still i think its obviously safer too
 
i think its a great idea if you can do it safely. but like Sr.verde said you will probly have more fun in a shallow area with sandy bottom. im a certified diver also and i live in miami so once it warms up a little im deff gonna try this.
 
I would not even consider it without a sober buddy accompanying me.
Shit I can't think of how many times I nearly drowned just by misjudgeing the depth of the water above me, only to have it compounded as the swell of the wave rolled over me also. I would not want to try that with my sense of distance judgement affected, unless I have a friend handy to keep an eye out and stay close.
 
Yo man Ill go with you and not trip and stay behind you and watch to make sure you don't fuck shit up :)

yea i have a couple times, in a hottub. my buddy had this jar turned bong with a hose coming out, and we had someone light it above while we sat under water. it was pretty sweet with the bubbles goin on, and the hot water made it hit you really trippyish somehow :lol:

the next day he trips and you are designated diver.
problem solved.

besides maybe wanting to spark a blunt on a nice beach.. I don't see why the fuck not. Diving into a coral reef off of a beautiful island coast would be enough to keep me sober.. life sober has quite beautiful aspects you simply do not notice until you manage to re-enter the realms of sobriety :-).

Random.. but you ever tripped so hard you think "I am going to be stuck like this forever" (in regards to tripping). Addiction is kinda like that.. and once you're out of it, you do not take the simply beauties around you for granted anymore.
 
My vote goes for snorkeling off the coast of bazzaruto Island off the cost of mozambique, the fish are incredible (this comming from a DMT head), and the shells are awesome, many pretty ones like the large tiger cowries etc....
