My sister has had her life turned upside down by psychosis, triggered by a trip to Amsterdam. This was 5 years ago. It took her about 18 months to get halfway back to some kind of normality. Unfortunately she has had a massive relapse, and again she admitted she had been smoking weed.
What annoys me from the pro-weed community is this idea that some people have some neurological set up whereby weed can trigger psychosis, so hey, you cant really blame the weed because it might have happened anyway. I use the analogy of someone walking along a slippy clifftop path - and youre not really at fault if you push them off cos hey they might have slipped anyway. Bullshit. Its perfectly possible my sister would have been spared this absolutely horrendous illness if she had stayed away from weed.
Weed can trigger psychosis. Deal with it...
