I could not resist the urge to plant out one of the Northern lights seeds I have. It's White Label seeds version of it. They are an affiliate of Sensi seeds, so that's why I went with them, as Sensi does not offer feminised seeds.

I don't expect this thread to be as popular as the c99 one, but I still want to document it. I love reading journals and smoke reports when deciding on a strain so if I can provide someone with inspiration to try a strain then that's a win in my book.

My setup is as basic as it comes.

Biobizz products- All-mix soil, Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Topmax. Some Epsom salt

250 watt hps light and a fan.

Some Ona gel if things get stinky.

Can you give a little insight as the setup that's going to be used for this one?
I haven't kept up at all with your other threads

hey puff! knew you would do another one after your recent awesome C99 journal. good. can't wait to see your new grow. northern lights is my favorite, although i'm waiting for C99s in the mail. as a coincidence, i just sowed two northern lights autos today. i'll be topping mine (oops! that might start some shit flying). in about ten days i'll start a journal with the pics of proof. can't wait, ive been getting so itchy waiting and now the weather and sun is perfect here. i'll be checking in often for updates. GL

How has the Ona gel been working out for you? Is it effective?
I've been hesitant to try it because I've read that it can make your buds smell funny if its next to them.
i was thinking of putting it in my exhaust or my ac exhaust but I don't want it to mess with the buds.

Thanks man I also wish you luck for your grows and will keep an eye on your journals. I decided to not top my NL..

Ona works great for a few plants ,even better for 1 which I'm doing. It would make your buds taste bad if you kept it in with your plants ,if you keep it outside your grow area it would compliment a CF very well for larger grows. I keep it just outside my closet to kill any escaping odours. I also try and go with strains that are not known to be smelly, like that c99 I just did, did not even require a supermarket air freshener, but I don't wanna be smoking the same strain all the time. So here's hoping NL doesn't stink out my house, though I have read mixed reports on NL stinking or not, some say it does, which makes me nervous. But the ONA handled a Lemon skunk, so it should be cool.

Yeah I'm working with a bigger garden and my last crop was some stinky og.
Ill be running a carbon filter to scrub the air as well as automated fragrance sprayers outside the room(which worked decent)
ive been trying to find a way to control odor and noise from the fans without messing up my buds..
I don't want to try a new strain just yet cause I finally got my og down.
probably next cycle ill incorporate a new strain.

Hey brother, I am also growing Northern Lights from the Nirvana seed company in the Netherlands and have a journal going for it as well. I use the same light setup as you except I built my own grow box instead of using a closet. Check out and sub if you want so we can compare and benefit off each other's experience. I am still fairly new to the game so I will probably benefit off you most, but my girls were just put into flowering 2 days ago. I am sub'd here as well so I can keep track of this journal for sure.

Hey everyone, Glad to have you all on board!

We have lift off today, after 4 days. I gave it some help to get the seed husk and protective layer off and it's now starting to open up...I hope.

Subbed. This should be fun to watch and compare to the C'99 experience. I need to check out the breeders info on this strain; flower time, height, etc. A couple of questions. Are you going to go with cal/mag+ this time? I really like what it's doing for my girls. I use rain water which doesn't have any minerals in it so it was very easy to keep the calcium and magnesium available using it between feedings? Also, why no top on this one? Maybe after I do some reading I'll understand. Does NL not respond well to it?

Hey GD, Yes man, I hope to get some cal/mag supplement this time, when I stick it in flower I will start using it. The reason i'm not topping is because on the journals I have seen on white label nl ,the plants are extremely single cola dominant.One big long cola with little side branching... so not sure if it tops well or not . Secondly I'm worried that if I prune it and turn it into a bush, with big fat indica leaves ,it may be just too dense for my 250 watter. Lastly this was really just an impulse grow as I have plenty of c99 to do me, so i'm just gonna keep it simple and see what I get.

Well guys, day 2 today and we have a little progress, we're up and running for sure. Roots poking out of the bottom of the coco pellet so I've stuck her in a pot of all-mix...

I got ya man. Just a little indica to mix up with all that C99 sativaness you got. :grin: Sounds like a plan. It will be interesting to see the results. Hope she doesn't get too stinky on ya either.
