Just purchased some hlg 600 fixtures anyone have any advice on using them?

usually you hang them somewhere, plug them in and put at least 1 plant under

Hang them 2ft above plant.
Dim down considerably for young plants.
When in full flower you may be able to get them down to 18" above canopy.
Have a small fan blowing across the light, it keeps the heatsink cool which increases the efficiency slightly. Helps dissipate the heat into the grow area.
Some folks find more calcium is needed.
Some folks like to run a few degrees hotter , high 70s to keep leaf temps up.
Keep an eye out for light burn, if any sudden deficiency happens overnight that you cant explain try raising light 6" or dimming until issue is dealt with.
