Pure CFL WW x Blueberry

Hey guys thanks for stopping by this is going to be a purely cfl closet grow and im seeing just how cheaply i can do it!

seeds are White widow x blueberry sounds fuckin delicious!

6 seeds germinated using paper towel method on 1/7 popped opened up on the 1/9, then transferred to party cups with cheap potting soil from walmart. No nutes yet

they are under 24/hr light atm

my light setup is a complete DIY power strip and y splitter fixture(s) with 6 26 watt 6500K cfl per fixture. fixtures zip tied to 8 inch duct held up with shoe strings tied with slipknots for easy adjustments (make sure its secure enough to hold)

Pics below explain better than i can.

Nice setup with the duct tube converted into a reflector for your cfls. I am subscribed and looking forward to reading. Are you going to flower with cfls too? and are you gonna do a carbon scrubber at all?

If you want cheap DIY reflective material get auto windshield reflector sheet. Or an emergency blanket.

Odor issue will be addressed with ONA machine( 5gl bkt, soilmoist, ONA, Fan) and yes this will be a PURE cfl grow, I am looking foward to sharing with everyone as well and seeing how much a $40 setup will yeild me!

As i get money there will be improvements, im going to go with the Panda Poly (b&w) because my works gets it for free!

I just love all of the creative setup ideas people get =P
Yours as well! This is looking great mate, good luck on the germination. Hoping to see em all sprout into nice little green seedlings =P
I'l keep my eye on your journal.

Power strips pluged to a multiple socket ext cord->light timer-> wall.

**UPDATE**

unfortunantly a fan fell knocking over all but on cup. I put the soil w/ germed seed back into thr cups but who knows if they'll sprout now...

However the one that didn't get hit sprouted this morning! I am germing more seeds now so if in a few days the other ones don't sprout I'll have some to replace them

heres a pic of one that sprouted already, they all germinated but i think the trauma of the fan falling caused them to be unable to break through the soil.

Oh noo.... Setup breaking down is always my biggest fear! :-(
But hey, one of them sprouted so just either quickly plant some more or wait for the others to sprout! :leaf:

I'm germing other seeds as we speak, so in about a day they will pop and if my oters don't break soil by then they will be replaced.( the untraumatized one sprouted VERY quickly so at most the one will be 2 days ahead no big deal

**Update**

so the seedling that survived round one of germination is a week old now. a few more have just started forming their first true leaves from the second germination.

heres some pics of the 1 week old seedling with a few hiccups.

The leaves are cupping and in a very steep V

There is a verrrry slight brown tinge right on the tip of each serration (hard to see)

The stem is completly purple.

However there is healthy new growth so it cant be all bad.

Temps average between 80-88 degrees
I water by weight( i weigh it when throughly watered and again when i suspect it to be dry)
NO Nutes have been issued yet

Oh I just love how the stems get purple! :weed:
Lookin good mate! Keep up and soon you will have big plants!

p.s. Be Patient brother, you won't notice too much growth until you transplant them to a bigger pot, which will be in a week or so. ;P When they are two weeks old, they will start getting HUGE, no kidding

*******So as it turns out i ended up with only 2 healthy plants but im ok with that.

Ok so my main girl is a little over a month old and i havent used any nutes yet just some used coffee grounds as a soil topping and some molasses as well. Roots organic soil is the shit btw

Im a real big fan of lst and since im just using cfls i need to keep it short and bushy and i think i managed to do just that, the plant responded really well to it to sometimes only and hour or so to pop back up after being tied down!

the plant is still only as tall as bic lighter and i think shes finally ready for flower!!!

all these pictures start around 2 weeks old after i transplanted her into a 2 gal pot from a party cup where she was having all sorts of ph problems but she recovered nicely.

enjoy!
