PureBlend CalMag Plus Question

My plants are not showing any deficiencies or anything unhealthy. This is solely a question of what I can expect if I add my CalMag plus to my reservoir. It says that it a "plant catalyst." What exactly will it catalyze? I am using General Hyrdo Flora series as my base nutes. I am curious what benefit I can get from doing this. Thanks a lot.

Calcium is fundamental to cell manufacturing and growth. Calcium is necessary to preserve membrane permeability and cell integrity, which ensures proper flow of nitrogen and sugars. It stimulates enzymes that help build strong cell and root walls. Canna. must have some calcium at the growing tip of each root. Calcium is a secondary nutrient but canna. requires nearly as much of it as macro nutrients.

Mari. also uses a lot of magnesium. Magnesium is found as a central atom in every chlorophyll molecule, and it is essential to the absorption of light energy. It aids in the utilization of nutrients. Magnesium helps enzyme make carbohydrates and sugars that are later transformed into flowers. It also neutralizes the soil acids and toxic compounds produced by the plant.

The areas in bold are the most likely point which they meant by catalyst. Most tap water will have enough calcium and magnesium to get a plant by. They don't need a lot to get by but if you give them more they will use it and it does help out over all health and yield. If your using RO water(reverse osmosis) then you will absolutely want to have some is your reservoir. I hope this helped.
