So I was wondering, I used 151 everclear to winterize.
What's going to be the difference when using 151 everclear as opposed to 191? I know one has less water content so it's easier to purge but what's the process I should go through when dealing with 151 everclear?
at the moment I dissolve my purged BHO into 151 everclear and stir it up in a hot water bath until the BHO dissolves, Put that into the freezer for about 24 hours, strain it through a coffee filter while it's in the freezer, slowly.
I then wait another 24 hours after all the everclear is strained to wait and see the waxes solidify a little more. I then pour that over a pyrex in a thin film and place it in a water bath @ 90-100F with a fan blowing over it. It usually evaporates in an hour or so, and after that I just scrape what seems most of the time to be shatter since it's hard and is pretty damn difficult to scrape. I then clean off each razor blade and melt that wax into a small puddle over the skillet with a oil slick and towel to manage the heat. I then place that into the vac chamber which is in a water bath at about 150 so the chamber is at 90-100F the whole time while I purge at -29 inHg for about an hour.
Should I be changing anything in my methods? I just ordered some 190 everclear online but I used 150 for my last batch and was wondering if I need to refine anything. Thank you in advance for everybody who answers this.
