purple #1 54 days, not lookin so good

I have one purple #1 plant i tossed in with my plants since i had room and everything got flipped to 12/12 on the first and this plant has huge buds and lots of them that look great from far off but they have barely any smell and barely any crystals at all. the only ones i can see are if you kinda spread a bud apart and look inside it. my cousin picked up 11 of these clones from a club here in sacramento and he isn't impressed either. he flipped to 12/12 on the first also. there is no purple on either of our plants. i can find little info about the strain online and really only one pic and the tree is purple in the picture the seed banks give. i was wondering if anyone has had buds that looked fat and dense and bomb but not really much trichs and smell. im hoping it pumps out some trichs over the next week. i will have to see. the plant is under a 1000 hps air cooled with a yield master II hood. i will take pics later when the light is on. thanks and any input would be awesome

The only way to make your plants purple is to considerably drop the temperatures at night. drop them to like 55-60 f and you will get purple plants.

only some strains will purple if given the right low temps in flowering, not all

i really don't care if there is any purple as long as it turns out bomb. ive grown bagseed of some schwaag and it had more crystals then this strain has. i would just think that from the club the clones and the strain would be good quality. i think he paid like $15 each or something. im glad i got it free or i would be pissed.

has anyone noticed on some strains that have dense buds that the trich's stay more on the inside of the bud? everything points to that this just might not produce much trich's. damn

hey man ive got sum dna sour cream goin atm day 64 flower and ther is no smell wat so everr. i rub my fingers all on the bud and only git a faint smell of sumthin i cant really describe but no smell otherwise. also thers not that much trichs on it but the buds are huge. im kinda wer u at. wit this strain i dont think this sucker is gonna b a good smoke unless in the next 2-3 weeks it goes thru sum dramatic trich production or has sum type of smell. but this was a freebie so im not complaining jus if it is shit then gonna b a waste of fuckin time an space

hi i have grown purple 1 from seed in the past and was not impressed at all! like you say there is hardly any thc crystals on the green ive had a good look with a microscope when its been harvested and it looked SHIT! and none of the 5 i grew went purple. SHIT strain

i think overall the strain does suck. the buds look great and have an ok smell now when i squeeze them. i think the smoke will be ok. theres a lot on the plant. oh well. i would have to ask my cousin which club he got them from and find out.
