Purple cow, helpa nooob out.

hey roll it up,

this is my first time posting on here and growing. ive been reading alot on here and in books about it. so i kinda know the basics pretty well. but i still got alot of learning to do.

i started my first set of plants 25 days go and they havent growin much since i transplanted them the 2rd week. when i transplanted them i transplanted them into purple cow organic soil. i figured they'd be fine seeing it was organic soil. there hasnt really been any noticeable problems with the plant since i transplanted them, they just havent growin much. ( i over watered them once before transplanting and the main leafs turned alittle yellow and drooped but it ended up getting better.) so i was thinking that they havent growin much from to much nutrients? im not to sure. my one friend that grew before said i should mix the purple cow with half regular dirt.

yesterday i kinda transplanted them by taking them outta the pots and switching up the soil by mixing some regular soil it there.

i started 3 others once i started noticing those werent growing thinking i just did something wrong and those are in purple cow too. so i think i might have to just start over?

Not just the soil that makes em grow, tell us more about your garden

lights, temps, humidity, nutes etc.

a proper grow is the sum of all parts

i got 3 200w(42w)6500K CFL a 75w one and a 150w one thats a 2700K.

the temp is usually between 70-75 with lights on and i think the lowest it gets is 65 with lights off. im not sure of the humidity in there. and i havent added any nutes or anything. just been watering them with purified water. and theres always good air circulating in the box.

i also put a couple little orange peals in with the soil but those are out now once i switched the soil up a bit.

Pic 2 & 3 are showing signs of needing nutes pic 4 is classic sign of overwatering

for where you are in the grow your lights are fine

temps are fine but should be between 75 & 85 for veggin

need to know the humidity as it one of the important elements of your garden, meters are cheap like $7 at walmart
for veg you need humidity to be 50 to 60%

I would normally say feed em but since you just changed the soil you need to wait a few days and see how they react, looking at only new growth being good

don't need orange peels in the soil, no useful purpose (that I'm aware of?)

I got some 15 30 15. You can find it at ace hardware thats were i got mine.

right now they want veg nutes, I use Jack's Classic and DynaGro which you can get at most regular nurseries

and for where they are now you should only be watering every 5 to 7 days

okay ill probably try to pick some stuff up tomorrow once i get paid. theres a grow store not to far from my house so ill probably stop up there tomorrow. anything else specific i should look for on the bottles?
