Purple Jems and Short Rider CFL Grow

Just a little update for you all. PJ #1 is still kickin like a champ and PJ #2 sprouted last night. Went ahead and transplanted both to bigger pots. I'll be out of town till sunday and i'll put up some new pics of both their progress when i get back.

I wonder how many generations of inbreeding an (auto X non-auto) cross it takes for the genetics to be 100% autoflower?

subed: the frist cross should show no autos, if you inbreed the F2's you'll

get 25% autos. but if you backcross instead of inbreed the same F2's

with a auto parent you should get 50% autos. then you could inbreed or

backcross the to get 100% autos.. its take longer to inbreed them but

you probly get more traits that you want..

sounds good... I have an auto-room and am making a 150w room for males, so I'll be trying this in the future.

Plants are looking great so far. Both survived the weekend plus some days without water and show no problems at all. Phenomenal growth so far and the bigger plant is still just a little over an inch tall. Both seem to be loving the lights. No stretching at all. The smaller (PJ #2) had a little bend from the fan blowing on it but it's been moved to the other side and is correcting itself now. First 4 pictures are of PJ #1 obviously being the bigger plant and the last 3 are of PJ #2 seedling. Also Attitude got back to me and sent me a replacement order for my dud Short Rider so be looking for those in the future hopefully. If you guys see any problems or suggestions feel free to let me know. I'm thinking about starting to introduce nutes next week with the FF Big Bloom and Grow Big depending on the growth of the bigger plant this week.

Had a similar problem with my short riders Kalen. I didnt spend anywhere near the money you did but I got 4 out of 5 to germ but they have been weak, deformed and am now finding 2 out of the 4 def male, sigh. Looks like my journal didnt make the hardware change or somethin so gonna start it up again after I have sex determined on ones currently growing. Loving the idea of continual monthly harvests with the autos gonna try something more stable and more renowned for quality auto next time. Peace!

I'd agree with that Dadderly, where did you get yours that were cheaper? I'd def say that its not a stable strain yet especially when i've been reading a lot of people saying they don't even always autoflower. I've been looking at reviews and Lowlife Seeds are looking pretty promising so maybe some blueberry kush in the future. Most of the lowryders look pretty good too with the exception of a couple phenos being taller than others. I was thinking that since they sent me 5 more fem SR's that i might try them outdoors and see if they preform any better there.

is the blueberry kush a new strain, or is it a cross?

I saw an automatic great white shark grow on here that inspired me to grab some seeds it was so good. Or promising anyway.

"Auto Blueberry Kush is a stable, inbred cross of Auto Blueberry and Auto Hindu Kush, Auto Blueberry Kush is a short to medium sized strain. The resin on this plant can, in some cases, be incredible. She has the aroma of the Auto Blueberry with the hard buds of the Auto Hindu Kush and the resin of both."

Went ahead and added 2 more 26w 2700k CFL's today also. Figured why the hell not since the temps are staying so stable. So running a total of 8 CFL's now.

No 150 mine werent femmed so males come with the territory. More dissappointed with the weakness of these seeds. They barely break soil and almost seem to be unable to open fully without help. Kalen I got them through attitude and I prolly didnt get the volume of seeds you got and also not femmed so theres the price diff I suppose. Got rid of male today so have 2 prolly females at 1 month from seed and 2 smaller ones sex still unknown. Think Il start my journal tommorrow after the lights come on.

Thats about how mine were. 2 of them grew a taproot of only about a cm then totally stopped. One even appeared to go back inside the shell. Crazy to say the least

haha like a turlt that didnt like the weather thats funny...I can see it bah whats the point im only gonna be a weak mutant anyway!!
