purple stems on my leaves

they are about 5 weeks into flowering and the stems of one plant are turning purple. I'm sure there is some sort of nutritional thing going on. But what. is it serious??

Should I being doing something about it and if so what? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Could be a number of things. What colour is the main stem. I suggest you do an Internet search could help you out more.

My very small search came up with genetics as a main cause. But an answer which sounds probable is you didn't monitor the cold well enough and it dropped below 68 sent plants into shock and they went purple. Not a major issue but not something that should be done on a regular basis.

I was thinking that temp might have had a part in it. I'm in New England (GOOOO PATS) and we've had a couple cool evenings. They are kinda big to be moving indoors every night and there isn't any place that'll stay dark all the time anyway, and the other 2 look fine, as in normal, no purple. We'll see what we see when we see it I guess.

thanks

How are you gonna deal with "any place that'll stay dark all the time anyway"? When it comes time for 12 hrs of dark?
I ask because I have the same thing...........im in a gated community and theres lights throughout-not MAJOR but its NOT completely dark

Good Post ...indeed anthocyanin(food coloring) builds up in the fluid as temps drop, to my blog for more:
