This times 10000It's pretty common and usually not something to worry about. If the stalks are purpling there's a good chance they have some uptake issues, and my guess would be because the roots are cold. Apparently this happens more with LEDs too.
They look happy to me.
I have 3 different strains in one Tent right now and one has very red stems. There asleep or I'd send a pic. I've found that more times than not it's genetics. I've never had it screw up a plant. I started growing in the black soil of Iowa when I was 15, in 1975. Your good. All my plants have purple stems on the leaves at this point. They look totally healthy besides that. Not sure how to resolve the issue or if it is not even big deal. Just don’t want to negatively impact yield. Any advice?

Turns out it's in the genetics of Vushnu Kush. It's drying right now. I'm guessing 4oz harvest being conservative.I have 3 different strains in one Tent right now and one has very red stems. Or stems, lol. Some of us aren't that clinical. Knowledge is power tho so, Rock on.PS the stems on the leaves are called petioles. Happy growing.
100%Beside genetics , I believe I have read it can be a reaction to UV light exposure, not necessarily a bad thing as long as everything looks good-
Gonna try this with them little stars...100%
I've noticed the distinct suntan lines when removing painters tape from stems.
The difference is stark
If I can find a pic I'll add it but the area under the tape is the "original" green color and the areas not covered by the tape turned purple over time.
Yes my Purple Kush is in the same tent as my Vushnu Kush but only the Vishnu has some red stems.Genetics
