[Purple_YodaGrow2.0] Soma's Lavender 600W

The Yoda grow is back, and we are all about purple plants. After a very successful previous grow (Soma's NYC Diesel and DNA Skywalker Kush), this time we are going to try another Soma cannabis cup winner that is famous for not only going purple, but almost black.

The previous ballast and lamp were shit, so this time a LumaTek 600w digital ballast with super lumens is being used instead.

An intake fan was also added to blow fresh air across the cooltube to get the shortest distance possible between the canopy and the light.

Only the carbon filter is missing from the setup, will be mounted as soon as the smell starts to get noticeable.

Soil: Biobizz Light Mix
Nutrients: AN's Big Bud, Overdrive, Carboload, B-52 Energy Booster, SensiBloom, GHE Bio Roots
Lighting: 600w HPS w/ LumaTek Digital Ballast
Lamp: Lumatek Dual Spectrum Lamp 600w
Intake: Passive / Exhaust: Inline fan 350cfm w/ Carbon filter
Growtent: Hortilab 4x4x6.5ft

10 seeds were planted last thursday and 9 have already sprouted.

looks great. Do you have a bench in front of the tent and just sit there watching them grow? I used to do that, I found that the MH light and the sound of the drip rings was very relaxing.

I'm in on this one purple plants rock, especially those prup strains that also pack a punch!

Just some plastics chairs we bring out from the balcony, we love to watch the grass grow.

starting to notice two phenos, one is clearly more sativa and bushier.

entering the 5th week of flowering... i just wish you could smell them!
no purps yet though cold is taking long to get here this year
we topped all plants except for one, that should be obvious from the pics which one is untopped

we're blowing the air through towards the bulb, didnt want to overheat the intake. Closed system actually cooled the room 5-8ºC compared to our last setup

awesome i like to pull my air thru 2 1000 watt lights and a carbon filter on the end my inline is on top and i pull the air thru and it keeps my room at 76 no problems but my boy is doing like u and pushing air thru and he has cheap reflectors and it blows air out the reflector i told him he should suck the air atleast no air will be comeing out his reflectors plus he say his room get hot like 90 so something ant right but ne ways heres a purple vodoo i got and made more seeds getting ready to run 15 of them

nice purple there, thats the bud color what we hope to get one day!

also another reason why you want to suck air towards the light is because you want a positive ratio of air pressure between the inside of the tube and the outside. that means if there are any leaks in the system the smelly air is pushed out and back into the tent, it would be sucked into the tube and out of the tent if you had the opposite setup
