Bricktop you are quite the typist my hands hurt from this!

I have always been one who believed, why say something in 50 words if instead it can be said in 500 words? Words are free and life is short so we might as well take advantage of it and use as many words as possible. Not many things in life are free so why pass up any opportunity to use them in bulk?

It might also in part come from my having spent most of my life in sales and when dealing with a customer if there is one thing you do not want in a conversation, it's air.

LOL, I wouldn't, I'd just toss out poor advice.

Why would you waste 400w on seedlings and cuttings that aren't even producing much growth yet? Not only is that wastefull, it is overkill. I hope you are not advocating that we all abuse the power grid the way you do. You are not going to get the benefit of 400 watts, why use it? why burn up a $50 bulb on seedlings and cuttings? That makes no sense at all.
I already have the MH on for other plants, so why not just toss the seedlings in there, save 10W on a heat mat, 64 watts on CFLs, ans 20 Watts on a gay ass 6500K t12. Thats 94 watts on the table there, on 20 hours a day. 1.8 Kw in the bank every day that way! I would only use CFL's if I have a fresh grow and an empty veg room. I woulnd't blow a KW an Hour for just seedlings. But I sure wouldn't blow 1.8 KW a day if I didn't have too.
