Purplish Stem Color, normal?

What up people, I know most on this thread probably have bigger plant problems than this but figured I would ask anyway, what the hell. It's a auto-hobbit strain, the seedling is less than 72 hours old, damn thing shot up fast!! Anyway, is the reddish-brown color on the stems of some of these seedlings something normal? Currently have it under a low watt CFL. Gonna be hitting it with a 250watt MH once it gets bigger. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

ive had it happen to some plants, and not to others. havent noticed a difference really with or without it. could be a nutrient deficiency? perhaps, but it could come down to the strain too. as long as the plant is growing, and the leaves are pretty and healthy, i wouldnt worry.

Thanks Nick, Im hoping that it's just the genetics of the particular strain. Has anyone dealt w/ the strain I planted (Auto-Hobbit)? It is a UFO freebie from Attitude, figured I would give it shot see what happens.

It's 72 hours old people. Read the post.

It's fine. Don't give it anything but water.
^4 sho. but i see for my plants that when nodes or stems first grow and develop they are purple then turn thick and green once they mature a bit with the plant. Def too overconcerned at the moment

Exactly. OP is a new grower, I think? So he looks really closely at every little thing (how else you gonna learn, right?). Anybody who starts growing goes through a period when they are concerned about every little thing. The next phase, which can be fatal, is when the new grower decides to get proactive about every little thing.

Anyway, OP, your littl'uns are fine for now.

alot of my seedlings have purple stems, i never do anything about it and never have any problems, they either keep a purple tint or turn green eventually.

why is it people always have to tell someone to do something about a problem that is not even a problem........

sometimes leaving your plants alone is the best thing you can do for them :)
