Push or pull through DIY carbon filter

What do you feel is better pulling air through the carbon filter or pushing it out?

I'll be making a carbon filter using this method https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/58871-2-minute-cheap-easy-carbon.html I have a 435 cfm inline fan

Both.

It depends how far away the blower is from the charcoal. You want the fan as close to it as possible.

you want to pull threw. makes sure your room is sealed real tight as well that plays a roll in it as well. good luck
