My question is would it not be a good idea to put four foot bamboo stix in the hydroton and then tie the branches to the stix. Would this hurt any roots that might be in the clay? I'm on my 3rd almost 4th week of flowering and the buds are already getting heavy so I'm looking to suport them. Any sugestions will be helpfull.

Helium filled balloons and string. Just kidding, it wont hurt the roots enough to notice. just try to be gentle when you slide the bamboo into the medium and you should be good to go.

Ok I put them around the outer pots to sort of giving them another stick to lean on and with some of them branches I just loosly tied some garden ties to the bamboo to give suport. All the inside pots are leaning on eachother for suport it's realy pretty ,all these buds leaning and swaying around with eachother. Anyways I don't like how the bamboo goes into the clay rocks. It's very loose and hard to put deep enough. I'm looking for a better way next time I'll try the screen method mabey?

yes it is hard to stick stuff into hydroton, you could try to put some chicken wire or screen around them in a circle to kind of hold them togeter. it will still let in light just like scrog . almost like tomatoe cages.

or duct tape the bamboo to the outside of the bucket on the top and bottom

lol it will be ugly but will work and keep it in place and firm....

i decided to use a screen last time my plants needed support, works great!
