not doing enough though! :P but yeah, the visible plant looks no different to a rooted clone after bouncing ack from it's droop. i'll keep playing the waiting game then :)

Wooho. Gladly I have changed my airpumps to the better ones. I now have 1.5 times more power =) Should be enough.


Here is another couple of questions though:


Not all of the clones show their roots yet and they look pretty yellowed at frames, but still pretty much alive after day 14.

Do you think It will be fine if I just put it into the DWC without roots showing?
What should I worry about?
What are my options?

if the roots are not showing, then in the DWC, there needs to be enough splashing of bubbles to wet the netpots and rockwool cubes. once the roots are growing and are at the water, then it's just the aeration of the water that matters and the splashing bubbles don't become important

Another question about connecting the air tubes to an air pump.



Does this setup look okay? My bro told me that I should rather connect it straight without any crossconnectors , so that the straighter it's connected the more air pressure it gives, which allows more of the air to be pumped in.


Here is how I did it. Do you find this rather ineffective?

I am running a pump like that, no problems

That works fine. I have accomplished the same thing by running tubes from the outlets I didn't need and clamping them off - the tubes to nowhere.

Couple of my clones are looking pretty weeak, although the roots are fine. Just made this setup and my question is, what are the chances of this particular clone to survive?


What are my options to enhance the chances?


Leaves look like its dying.... Is it in a huge problem?

no offence but i can't make out anything that i can reply usefully to. get those lights turned off or covered up so that the picture isn' just a pink mass of shapes :)

You need to veg em under Floros or CFL(Cool/Blue) for a few weeks. Whatever light you are using is too red (Flowering) and too far away from the plants.

Thanks a lot for dropping that knowledge all over me. I was coming on here to ask how I knew I had the right pump, and thanks to you I know I don't. My setup now is strictly for this grow, first timer, and then I will build a better one. Again thanks, and please continue to post for tards like me.

It's very hard to diagnose something like this. But basically, run through all the factors in your mind - light, temp, humidity, nutes, pH. it's probably one of those. Also diagnoses questions might get more and better responses in the plant problems forum.

I was wondering, you said you use the pump with the link you gave...how many plants do you run off that pump? I'd like to get a pump that I can run 12 plants with or maybe 2 pumps that can handle 6 plants each. Would this pump be good for either a 12 or 6 plant supply?

I agree. Pre system set up I bought a water pump to top feed the plants along with a air pump for the bubble/oxygen action. Well I set it up with just the air pump at first to see what would happen. I then realized you don't need a top feeder. The bubbles do ALL the work! And I'm using a shitty Walmart dual outlet air pump!
