Putting cuttings in rockwool cubes, then when ready transferring them into soil??

I just wanted to know if anyone has done this, or would let me know if they think its a good idea or not?

why not just start them in plastic cups with soil

Yeah I have done it, works fine. My normal method is using a mix of 1 part Perlite, and 1 part Vermiculite, mix in Olivias cloning solution until I get the mixture to form together somewhat. Than I use little cups, like fruit cups with holes for drainage, and fill those, put clone in, and get under a dome, watering from top with the mixed Olivias until they root, and spraying with distilled water daily. When they are ready to plant, I just gently tap them out of the little cups, the mixture stays formed, and just transplant that.

I dont do it, but thats a perfectly fine thing to do, lots of people do it. It's not uncommon at all.
