I have a few mother's that I want to put into flower.they are around 3' tall my tent is 6.5' high
My 600w hps lamps measure 8" from top of reflector to bottom of bulb.
Strain is og 18 .I'm looking for opinions about
How much I should cut them down for reasonable height,or if I should use a trellis and bend /tie the flowers as they go.20190101_214402.jpg

im pretty sure the og18 has a big stretch in flower! you can tie it down best you can then trellis and try and keep her low! if you do cut her down drastically please give her two weeks to veg so it dont just hermie on you from all the stress!

Yup they stretch so put some trellis nets do some LST training pretty much open up the canopy as much as possible without damaging the plant. Also transfer them into a bigger pot you see insane yields

Thanks for the replys guys, we're on the same page I started lst last night and dropped 12" or so
Now I'm thinking about 10 gallon felt pots
Too much?

Oh yeah. OG 18 stretch's big time.

Simply super crop the branching as it gets too tall.....

It's been years since I grew this strain out, but it was indeed a stretcher. Very bushy too if I recall. Trellis and supercropping might be the way to go.

Definitely gonna supercrop ,trellis
I'm in 5 gallon felt pots and I'm thinking about 8 gallons ....or would that be pushing my luck as far as space.im planning on putting 5 into flower under 2 600w hps(on one side of my 8x8 tent)
