Dry ice and flower sieved through a 160 micron mesh. Trim sieved with dry ice through a 120 micron mesh. Then shortly in the 160 micron for a final sweep. Decarb in the oven covered for 40 minutes @ 240. Mix with 1tsp coconut oil + 2.5ml soy lecithin per 5g of decarbed hash. Cover and bake for 20 minutes at 220. Allow it to cool. Cook again at 220 for another 20 minutes. Place your dish on a coffee pot warmer. Stir as you cap into gel caps to mix the sludgy hash in the bottom of the container with the oil and lecithin. I learned from BrassNwood @grass city:

I have used bubble hash before. The effects are slightly different. And whether you use dry ice made hash or ice water hash you're sure to enjoy the strong narcotic like effect.
Thanks for the great recipe!
I have never made bubble hash before, and always infused my cannabis right into the coconut oil, and then the caps, but it makes for a less potent, less pure, product.
I'm looking forward to making the hash, and getting rid of the plant material, then using less coconut oil, to make a stronger product.
The hash oil you have for example, is much darker than any infused coconut oil I've made.
Its funny, I've always thought this was one of the best ways to deal with trim, and popcorn nugs, but it feels like you never see it done!

Nice. You can also make pretty strong oil from leaves, believe it or not. You just gotta ram like a pound worth of leaf into 16 oz of coconut oil, via a water/oil process. It does take a long time, but it's a way to make use of your leaf. I don't really like edibles that much myself, I think it has something to do with those pot brownies I ate when I was 5, but others love cookies made from this oil and salves for sore muscles.

I ran a new 240v circuit with 6/2 wire with copper ground. Mounted the top o grow 8 light controller on a 3/4" piece of plywood that was secured to a wall stud and header with 5 3" screws. I installed a double pole 50 amp breaker to power the line and controller. Took about 3 hours altogether with cleanup. In. Done. Happy. Now here we grow again :) Transplant tomorrow. 10% bleach on the walls and floor. Air out. Set timers. I'll let the next batch cook for 2-3 weeks to bush out more. Probably closer to 14 days. Light speed ahead mothafucka's. Mini split ac in the spring :)

Just moved 4 very over sized ladies into the freshly cleaned flower room. 2 Maui waui. 1 is a reveg that was removed from the flower room after 2 weeks in the last flower cycle and placed back into the nursery. It was just too small and the room was too packed. It's grown into a respectable bush now worthy of being in the flower room taking up space. Can you believe all 4 of these oversized bitches were in a little 5x5? Blows my mind man. A couple branches close to the radiator heater were completely fried. Won't do that again :) The rest go in tomorrow. I have another 9 or 10 to add. This shall be interesting :)

Jonny went on a little shopping spree recently. New work cart, two 5 gallon bucket dolly's, a very nice work cart, and a rolling work stool:

5 gallon bucket dolly @ wal-mart for $14.99. Very impressive quality in the castors. Good quality castor wheels are hard to come by these days. Harbor freight's literally drop bearings as they're rolling. Ding ding ding. What's that? Harbor freight awesomeness :) Lots of good shit at HF. Just not castor wheels.

Should have the flower room jamming again on a 12/12 cycle by Saturday at the latest. Gotta run a little new plumbing to pump waste water away instead of hauling buckets from the drip tray run off after my watering. Just a garden hose with a might vac pump on a remote keychain on / off switch. I'm done hauling buckets - period. I'll get some more up to date pics. New stool showed up today. Love it. Great for working low tearing at lower foliage in veg / flower. I'm too old to work on my knees anymore. Love the dolly's too. Waiting on the lights and cart. Light speed ahead!

That's a nice utility cart........ Quite the jungle too, drip lining this or bitching it through with a can?
Vacation in Puerto Rico? Fuck that shit. I appreciate the little things in life. Like having a nice utility cart to make my mundane back breaking garden tasks easier. Much like a wife the garden is never gonna stop coming at you. You might as well make things easy on yourself, right? Straight bitching through it with a water jug. You know what's funny about this situation? I bought and installed 2 nice garden hose hangers, 2 commercial work hoses, 2 nice pumps, 2 keychain remotes to operate those pumps, 2 garden water wands, and 2 $10 swivel adapters. Whole tamale was around $300. I fucking hate using the water wand and prefer my jug. Why? The hose is a straight pain in the ass to wrangle and deal with moving around. It starts to feel like a ball and chain rather than a convenience. Then when I'm done I have to flush the line with hot water. Pull the dam hose back out of the flower room. Hang the dam thing back up as the wand drips allover me even with the valve closed. It's very cumbersome. I prefer hand watering because it's not only easier, but I get to know my plants better. I pour 1 gallon into each container. I can then look at the run off volume. Did a lot come out? A little? That data tells me how fast each plant is drinking. Some need to be watered every day. Towards the end of my flower cycle some twice per day. If I used an automated system I would have no clue which is drinking more or less. Sometimes the simple things are best left alone. I prefer manual watering for all of those reasons.

Well I finally have the flower room operational this evening. All 6 lights are running on the new light controller looking great. I moved the 2 quantum boards further back against the rear wall and spaced them apart further spreading the light more evenly. Doing all the electrical is just a pain in the dick with plants in the room. I really have to think of a better long term solution to moving my quantum boards constantly each cycle. Shit is no fucking fun. It's not rocket science, but it's one more pain in the dick you gotta do with plants in the dam room and no room to work. It gets done, but it's a bitch. I'm too fucking tired to even consider a possible solution right now. Maybe get metal halide USHIO lamps for the HID's and just run them all at 60% power. That's still a lot of energy use for 18 hours per day, but it's easier than doing what I'm doing. Gotta figure out a game plan. Tonight I'm tired though. Tomorrow I will be spreading all of the branches and defoliating to create an even canopy in which not a stitch of light hits the floor anywhere in the room. And I still have 4 more to put in there. I don't think it's gonna happen. It ain't over till the fat lady sings and she ain't singing yet. We'll see how things shake out tomorrow, but it is going to be fucked up tight in there. And I love it! After this harvest I will be installing a mini split AC with heat pump for the flower room. That eliminates the need for the portable AC and portable electric radiator. That will be a monumental upgrade for me and I'm pretty dam excited.

Also, I'm in the process of switching the garden over to soil. I will still be using synthetic nutrients, but soil grows more flavorful pot. End of story. I use to grow in soil and I miss the flavor. I miss the incredible burn qualities. I don't want to miss it anymore. I want to grow it. And I want to smoke it. So I have a grand daddy OG I transplanted from a 1 gallon hempy bucket into a 50/50 mix of ocean forest and happy frog in a 5 gallon bucket. She'll be fed flora series with floralicous plus on a feed, water, water, feed regimen just like I did 10 years ago with the most outstanding results I've ever had. The magic is in the soil. It is what it is man. Hydro just can't compete with the flavor of soil grown pot. It has nothing to do with organic or not. It has to do with whether or not the plant is grown in soil or if it spent 9 weeks in a synthetic fertilizer water bath. They both produce very different products that have a similar appearance, but one is of vastly higher quality.

Congrats on the mini split, it will be a game changer........ Air handler will need to be replaced couple years down the road though.

I prefer soil too, but I'm not starting another heated debate.

Good luck grower

I don't understand why those heated debates ever occur. I enjoy growing in soil and hydro. Each has it's pros and cons. It keeps things interesting though having a diverse range of flower available to enjoy and compare. If I stuck to only one grow method my entire life then my judgment would be completely skewed based on my limited experience, and I'd probably get very emotional about my statements. Typically the most emotional people are the ones with the least amount of information. Fear of the unknown gets stupid people very angry when they're confronted with their lack of experience and knowledge. People are awesome, right? :)

It's an unequivocal fact that soil grows more flavorful pot due to higher brix levels that hydroponics simply cannot achieve. Plants with high brix levels are more flavorful than flowers with low brix levels and are the most sought after flowers on the market. It's the same dam reason a soil grown 'mater tastes like a tomato and a hydroponic grown 'mater looks better and is bigger but tastes like absolutely nothing. Just flavorless skin, flesh, and water. Yuck! It's all about the brix baby. And hydro ain't got it. Debating facts is not a fruitful use of anyone's time :) I started growing in hydro because I was promised bigger harvests. That was a lie. I continued growing in hydro because I have a bad back and hate hauling dirt. It's the lazy grower's way of growing plants. If anyone was looking for a more complex answer there isn't one ;)

Update: Godfather OG is looking great as she settles into her now soil home. Cabbage, mater's, wild flowers, and corn are all taking off nicely in their new 3 gallon containers. Man oh man does the godfather stink to high hell. It's like that old school "holy shit did you run over a fucking skunk" smell. I haven't had one of those in the garden in what seems like forever! I now have 2 27 gallon totes full of soil. 1 full of potter's gold. The other full of ocean forest. I plan to add a 3rd tote of happy frog. I only grabbed the PG because the fuckers were out of the HF. What can ya do?

All 3 god bud seeds popped! Only 1 bruce banger so far. I did not germinate between paper towels and dinner plates like I usually do. So far 4 out of 6 had no problem breaking through the soil. The BB's are feminized so as long as I get one I'll be happy. The GB is regular. Hopefully I get 1 female. Last cycle I planted 4 jager's. All but 1 went male. The 1 female I had produced 2# under my 660w. All genetics. I didn't do anything special. She's a monster producer that everyone should have at least one of in their garden.

Critical mass. She is one hell of a fucking producer. Easy to grow too. No fuss at all. Just spread her branches and keep them from falling over as the monster flowers weigh the branches down close to harvest. Lovely lovely strain. I hate smoking it myself, but patients love it. What can ya do?
