About 1/2 lb left to go....lowers of 2 bigger plants:

I expect six 96s @120w would do similar job, under similar conditions, strains.
Wow!! Thats like 3 zips per sq ft. Amazing. Just looked at your grasscity thread, doing the good lords work, comrade. Many thanks to you for sharing your findings with the rest of us.

Thanks.

Not sure which pieces of the setup contributed the most, but i think a package containing similar 1000ppfd intensity, supplemented red spectrum, targeted vpd, and 1500ppm co2; along with high yield strains, bigass pipes, and multiple mains can do 4 plants at 1to 1.5 lbs each in a 4x4, for a competent grower.

I’ll get less, but probably close to 3.5lbs @2g/w, mainly cuz the front 2 plants got somewhat stunted by a bout of stem rot during early veg. But, the two healthiest plants will likely end up over 1 lb each.

Complete grow, every day except 2 days at thnxgiving, from 12:12 (flowering day 95, today) is documented here and on gc.

My pleasure tracking and sharing the info. Others have helped me tremendously (many unknowingly, thru their old posts), just putting it together and passing it on.

Gonna try to prove to myself that this wasn’t a fluke, with my next extreme flowering grow using both the current 288 setup and a similar 96 setup.

Sounds good!
Yeah, the dimmer limits it to 100% if its a 100k poti. Only A version has build in regulators for voltage and current. With the B version(< or =54v) its running in constant current mode anyway and compensates wire losses automaticly. Thats probably the 0,1v you are above 54v...
I've done the same and switched to a remotely wired HLG-320H-C1750B driver just because heat is one limiting factor in my setup and each HLG-320 produce already ~20w of pure heat at 100%(5-6%).
Better to keep that heat out of the tent if you don't need it.
One could also reuse the heat and heat up the incomming air or the grow table in winter.
Remote wiring has a few good benefits.

I realy like this cheap low reststance "Aviation Connectors" from e3ay.. 1,15$! They are available with 2-16 pins and in different layouts. These are for connecting the wires to an external driver housing(3 pin for powercord and 2 pin for the dc connection) but you can get them also to connect just two powercords or 2 DC outputs.

Do those have to be soldered?

I wired 2 drivers per pot/set.
I purchased 5 x 50K pots for about $10.

note:
1 driver 100K pot; 2 driver 50K pot; 4 driver 25K pot.
100K ohm / nth drivers.

Get some with the knob.

Thanks. I have the "A". Thought so, but when I saw the 2x96 bar, I assumed it was the same one u posted a while back and was wondering, how in the hell did his boy put a pot on an A driver.
Someone else put a 3rd party dimmer on an “A” driver output, between driver and light, ran 96 around 300w, dimmer relay melted & fried 96...

Be careful out there...

Yea, this is what I was thinking when I saw the first pic.
I wonder why they suggested the other dimmer as opposed to the pot.

Nah, maybe I misspoke. It was recommended to use a wall mount dimmer. I use pots as well. Just curious. Maybe I should've googled the product and seen for myself, the differences if any.

You don’t have to do what the meanwell guy recommended, but you do have to use an appropriate pot and driver, the guy that blew his board didn’t.

Hey guys don't buy the wall dimmer. The 5 pots cost $10, the wall dimmer is like $70.
I sent another email to Meanwell after the above email and asked him why he recommended that. The response was

Please don't waste your money on some wall dimmer. There is no reason for it.

@ CoB_nUt

I have it in 5.5" spacing between the lights, but I will double check tomorrow.
There was enough room to leave 1/4 inch between the drivers for a small air gap.

The A dimmers don't work at all like the B drivers, its not just the dimming. There's a safety thing involved, but I can't remember now. Don't use the A-type drivers. Buy a $3 pot and wire it in, its very easy.

Here's a video (linked) on how to wire a pot.
