Diodes are .2 w nominal, .6w max. 3w diodes would make it 2400w max. My suggestion is based on what worked fine for us, but many ways to skin a cat. The reasoning is that 2 heatsinks for 300w operation each costs (where i am) more than getting another board. These boards run fine with no heatsink up to 200w but ideally a little less. 160w is my sweet spot. Also means you get a bit better spread, lower hanging height and lighter fixture? I got 2 boards with 800 diodes each.... If each diode is 3w that makes each board 240w? Why then a 600w? Maybe a noob question, but I don't get it.
