Two years ago I smoked a sample of Purple Wreck and of all the Train Wreck samples and hybrids I have smoked it tasted the best to me. It still had the strong taste of classic Train Wreck but it also had a really pleasant grape/lavender flavor that I really liked. With the amazing results achieved with Chernobyl I had no hesitation moving forward with a hybrid cross between our Blood Wreck and Querkle using our tested male we call Doc. Chernobyl the first hybrid created using our Blood Wreck female recently tested at a 17.64 THC %.
Seeds were created and sent to the TGA test crew with some amazing results like the shots from Ocanabis. His descriptions had be excited even before I saw the new hybrid we named Qrazy Train in person. The good news continued to pour in but I held my excitement down as much as I could until I got to actually taste some finished bud.
Hound Dog is a friend of TGA and he became a care giver about a year ago for 3 people but he didn't really have good genetics so we hooked him up and now when we have something new he loved to give it a run and tell us what he thinks. He learned how to grow from Dioxide who I taught and he uses Super Soil so the circle continues dig?
He grew out a small hand full of seeds and kept his favorites but at his last harvest I was busy with the Cup and didn't get to visit his garden and take pictures. It worked out though because he tells me that this harvest is much better as he has his room dialed in now and has started to really understand how to do things and when to.
He rents a small unit that has been set up with the owner's permission as a medical grow site. The site is registered with the state and on site security watches things but it was still weird driving into a storage facility to do a photo shoot. I wasn't disappointed once I got inside though as I was greeted by a nice tidy grow room filled with TGA goodness. When he brought out the three Qrazy Train plants the room was suddenly filled with smells. I over use the word Dank but I do know it when I smell it and that was the first thing that popped into my mind but I will see if I can be more descriptive than that. Along with the smell of Trainwreck which I describe as Lemon-Pine-Earthy were traces of Grape and Fruit smells. We say all the time that Purple doesn't have a small but I am starting to wonder if that is wrong.
Each female had a slightly different structure but all three had the traces of Purple Urkle we wanted to see along with an intoxicating smell. The Cherry from the Space Queen used in Querkle also plays a part in the smell but the cherry is understated to me but that is where the added resin is coming from in my opinion. The plants are at 57 days and almost fully mature I can see amber resin which indicates the end is near for these three.
