Just seen the thread, need to go back and checkout the panel details but that looks like a pretty good SD to me. :). Gotta run one again next time, I miss the high and change of flavor around here hehe.

Good work!

Thanks, I'm definitely gonna run SSDD again, but the next project is gonna be all Bodhi gear. Some RKU, Head Trip, and a couple testers. Haven't decided if it's gonna be all 3 gallon runs to fit everything or leave it up to see which beans produce what.

Everything is looking great, much respect. Quick question if you were growing in a 5x5 area how many cxa3070 would u use?

Depending on how hard/soft you're driving them, somewhere between 6-8 would be my guess. 7 driven at 1.4a would give you roughly 40W per sqft.

http://www.cree.com/~/media/Files/Cree/LED Components and Modules/XLamp/Data and Binning/ds CXA3070.pdf says at 1.4 mA you will use about 37w each.

7 X 37 / 5 x 5 ~ 10 W/ft2

You will need about 25 3070s to get up to 40 W per sq foot, one 3070 per sq foot or so
And this is why I went to art school. Thanks for the correct math, I forgot about the wattage after driven.
Scratch that. I dug through the pdf and didn't see anything in there about 37W, just Vf. I see around 52W at 1.4A, unless I'm using this chart wrong.

I was using the chart on page 7, interpolating between 1300 mA and 1800 mA

And if the 52 W is correct, you will still be less than 20 W per ft2

7 X 52 / 5 x 5 < 20 W per ft2

Awesome grow man stoked to see the final weight, really thinking i need to make some Cobs for my next light!

Oh no doubt my math was still way off, forgot to multiply.

Yeah I'll be posting final weight for sure.

Cool man stoked to see it. Was it pretty easy considering to build the panel you have? Just confused on how to power the fans and drivers the rest looks easy

The hardest part for me was cutting out the aluminum chassis to house everything, tapping the heatsinks, and making sure I had good thermal grease on decently sanded heatsinks to ensure heat transfer. The wiring portion was pretty self explanatory, AC side goes to the wall, DC side goes to the LED. The stickies and other DIY threads pretty much cover everything.

She's a pretty easy growing plant. Didn't give me any problems till flower, when she stretched a good deal more than SSDD. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere remotely close a testing facility. I suppose I could always order one of those online tests, but I'm not sure how accurate they are.

Right on, yea those tests are probly not worth the time.

Final numbers are in.

Hurkle
69.2 g

Sunshine Daydream
65.7 g

Total wattage 290W (fans+lights), bringing this grow to 0.46g/W

Not a bad run, but I have a lot of dialing in to do. Hopefully additional tent height, 2 additional COB's and not scorching my plants will help with the next project.

Frenchy's method more or less. Mini-washing machine, washed trim 5 times (should have done the full 12). Dried out for 48 hours (should have only done 24). I put them in a square of parchment/butcher paper, and rolled a jar of water, half room temp, half boiling over the paper a couple dozen times. Took it out of the paper, re-folded the hash in on its self, put back in the paper, and rolled the jar over it a few dozen times more while pressing to flatten it back out. And that is the finished product.
