Just a thought for those looking for a VERY clean finish.

I would post pics of this if I could, when I get my new phone in I will.

it is a 1/8 piece of aluminum 1 ft X2 ft the cobs mounted to it 8 cobs total. Drivers are mounted on the opposite side. Then holes were drilled in the aluminum and heatsinks were tapped (artic 11s)tthere is a total of 6 of these one above each cob except the two in the middle.

Then a 1/8 thick piece of aluminum is cut 5 inches tall by 2 ft long and 5 inches by 1ft two of each. If you know how to weld then weld these to make a "box" you can mig weld it but I decided to TIG it since I have the equipment. Mount a hinge onto the 5 by 2 ft piece and attach another 1x2 piece of aluminum for the top.

If you want you can leave the top off or drill holes in it anywhere from .125 to .500 in diameter.
I decided to go a different route and used a 3/16 endmill and created slots over the fans then a few the length of the box in the middle. I started with a short slot gradually got bigger then gradually got smaller so it looks like a pre bought stamped out box.

I then polished it to a mirror finish and man does it look better then a top shelf unit.

The "box" can be built for $55 if you have the tools and $70 if you need someone to weld it. And 95 for the welding and drilling.

Just another way to build a nice diy unit. It hides all wires except for the single power cord coming out of a rubber grommet to power everything.

Hey sevren how do you like the performance of the arctic 11? I was looking at these as they seem to be the same as yours http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Alpine-11-Plus-Cooler/dp/B00606OHQQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1421349242&sr=1-1&keywords=arctic 11 plus&pebp=1421354831241&peasin=B00606OHQQ

edit: nice build and grow btw!
They seemed to perform really well. Pretty warm to the touch when everything is running full power, but not enough to singe you. The fan does an adequate job of cooling, no real complaints really. I preferred this model due to the holes on the corners which makes for easy fastening to enclosures with #4-40 screws. And thanks, it turned out to be a nice experience and I'm rebuilding the enclosure with 2 additional AB's while some tester Bodhi gear veg's.

Thats good enough info for me! I found them cheap on newegg too. Ill be going with 8 vero 29, but in a 4x4 to 5x5 for veg purposes. I think you did pretty well, I tried mainling once and wasn't a fan with the outcome but couldve been my own fault. I think you'll do better next round, ill be subbed!

I don't remember where I got mine, some random website that was having a sale. I think I got them for $5-7 a piece. To see them for almost 13 is crazy. Guess I'm going to have to get 2 more on newegg before the jump up in price. Thanks! I got a taller tent, new nutes, and going to go for a different enclosure the next round so hopefully I'll be able to get more bang. Yeah some plants don't like to Mainline, these next batches are testers so I'm not going to hack them all to hell.
