Quantum Boards - Heat question

appreciate the replies.

I hung one strong 6inch inline fan (30 watts) looming down over the two QB's (with its intake connected to a duct pipe that sucks air from outside the property). With 2 clip fans (aimed at the plants) and the carbon filter+fan system running constantly (sucking air out the tent/house to the outside).

QB heat sink temp. is now 33C over the whole surface of both (QB's dimmer set at 60%)
Tent temp. is 29C (measured at plant pot level)
leaf temp 27C (at top of canopy - canopy is 16" from the lights)
plant pots (black) 29C - Will cover these in reflective silver tape methinks!
Ambient house temp.24.5

One more 6" fan on the QB's would probably do the job (plus, this air works down to the plants - getting them moving). Still planning if I'm up for rewiring (to move the drivers out of the tent). It's interesting to see just how much fan wattage it takes to get these QB's running 'cool' as well :)

I use these on top of my qb288 heatsinks. Keeps them very cool and they are so quiet you cant even tell they are on. If you have multiple heatsinks you can connect multiple fans together. They also have a L M H speed controller on them.
