Okay thats what I was trying to figure out. So how much molasses do I add to 1 gal of water and do I only add it to the res or can I also make a spray as well?

If you're growing hydro, neither will be of any benefit. Regular sugar is just a bad idea all around, it's refined and believe it or not, has all sorts of additives in it. People growing in soil add molasses because it feeds the beneficial microbes in the soil, thus making the soil better for the plant. Adding molasses to a hydro grow will accomplish basically nothing except turning your water brown and will most likely lead to problems. I'm a soil guy so I don't know the particulars, but if you research a bit, you'll find posts where people added it to their hydro grows and it resulted in all sorts of problems. Molasses will NOT sweeten your bud, will NOT add weight, and because you're growing hydro, their are no microbes that need to be "fed" by adding it, it is pretty much strictly for soil.

black strap mollassess 1 table spoon per gallon should do, you could even go to 2, around 2 weeks beafore harvest. no spray.

What about if you use beneficial microbes with your hydro? I have been soil and just recently got a couple hydro gardens. I still add azos to the res and mykos to Hydroton. I also use a compost tea.. Do you think that this will make the sugar in the res more useful? by sugar I mean sweet or banana manna
