Hi all, I posted some pics before and had feedback saying my plants were MASSIVELY overstretched. Now as I appreciate you vets have more know how on this than me, I'd like to know how far is being stretched, so what I mean is, how much main stem should there be between leaf nodes???. The other thing is one of my pics (see attached) had a lot of attention (not good either:( ). Could you please take a look and tell me what you think, people have been asking if its a hermie or if they are pollen sacs (you'll know when you see pic) and I have examined it something stupid and can get nothing other than its mile behind seeing as its 'her' 12th week. One thing I should add about the plant is that it has a MAJOR elbow in it where I bent her :( when she was young, could this affect its growth rate??. And how close can I get them to my cfls without burning??please bear in mind I'm at work 10hrs of day like most so dont want to come home to find plants burning on bulb as Im not sure how fast they grow although did seem mentalist speed at one point.lolNew clones, temp and hum is good but is close enough to light please. Ignore plants in back-in ca.jpgSame plant couple of days on but wayyy closer to light.jpgThe one that got negative comments.jpg

this is the crux of the biscuit for cfl growers - getting them in close without burn
in my experience, if you want low stretch and good results, you're going to get some burn, just the price of cfl's
now you should not get a lot of burn, maybe the occasional leaf tip, but how much harm is there from a few leaf tips burns?
very little from what i can see, so gauge your stretch carefully(i.e. 1 days growth), and a little burn won't sink the grow

thx, guess have to let my baby's burn a lil. I did have 400w HID but couldnt clear the heat from my set up so had to go cfl, currently running 2x 125w and 1x 45w. Have just got fittings and fixtures for 2 more 45w lamps, dont want to put them in yet though cos will prob damage plants and temp will be too high too so gotta get air flow improved.

     :???:

I've never seen anything like that before in my life.

12 weeks?????

that's the loosest formation I've ever seen.

Ya I've had a plant revert after I had tossed it outside some years ago. It had that same super loose formation too it, but not nearly as bad as what op's got.
