Querkle from tga seeds breeding questions

hi all , this is my first post so go easy on me ...

iv been growing tga's querkle for a while now and i am more than happy with this strain ....
i originally purchased two 10 packs ,cracked them cloned them and grew them all out
i was impressed with what i got , mostly urkel dominant plants with not bad variation ....
all except one had purple calyxs and the plants could be put in two or three main pheno groups quickly by eye..... except for the one really sativa space queen pheno i got ( not my favourite but i prefer indicas ) ... luckily tho no hermies .. i have read reports that querkle can hermie often but none of mine ever have and iv stressed them out a good few times ?? it prob can hermie if i tried hard enough .....

i selected the most urkel female absolutely covered in resin with a really fast flowering time and grew it out once more .... i then crossed with a male of similar smell , structure and characteristics (the more slow growing indica male ) ....
i grew these out and selected two more indica looking plants similar to the parents and crossed them to make f2's ...
in the f2s i planted around 40 seeds to find a really good looking male .. i throw away fast flowering males and use the ones that show sex late but still look really indica and short ...

i took this further bread male that i was happy with and crossed it back to the original cloned querkle female i used in the beginning from seed ( my p1 if i can call it that )... which is an absolute resin bomb

so i now have a querkle bx that is pretty consistent compared to before ... should i continue this line further by doing sibling crosses ? or cross it out to another strain ? ...

what are your views people ?? i just want it to be reasonably stable before i cross it ... il post pics soon .... thankyou

also what are your thoughts on querkle having the potential to go hermie ? is something not worth breeding if it has this trait ... i was under the impression that most plants can hermie under stressed conditions anyway so if its not a full blown hermie it should be fine anyway ? just clearing a few things up in my head any help appreceated

just curious what was it about the querkle that made you interested enough to spend so much time with it? I have a pack being shipped, I bought them quite randomly as I liked the description.

i dont know , i suppose i had heard good things about tga around the time i bought them .... i used to see guys growing urkel in the states and was always curious about it as we dont have many such strains in the uk ..... i always try to plant as many beans as i can to get an idea of any strain hence buying 20 , its just something i do ... i also only buy regular so to me tga was interesting ....

plus ... i really like the sleepy high and the flavour of my clone ( some sativa lovers dont like it as much but i love the couchlock it gives ... literally stops people talking after a few hits ).... this isn't something i set out to do it just kind happend over that last 3 years and now iv become kind of attached to it

nice thanks! that seems to be about what I am looking for. I also bought crazy train which has urkel in it only a 5 pack of each but I have hopes of finding something I enjoy. I also like a good couchlock and sleepy feeling ganja.
post some pics if you can/when you can I would like to see them.

I would keep going with the full sib crosses until you lock down whatever traits you like best
The bx from an f2 male probably not the best choice because the f2 is where you would stRt finding
Homozygous traits (whi ch you cant really see without a female plant or expensive lab equipment
And since u did a blind bx to a polyhybrid you just blank slated in my opinion
So if the goal is to have a stable strain all youd have to do is grow out the seed from
The bx, find a keeper mother (similar to your p1) and cross her to an indica dom male (full sib)
Then continue this process for till about the f4 and you should be very close to the desired goal.
I wouldnt outcross until inbreeding depression became an issue if your
Just breeding for personal use.

ill post some different better quality pics later on and some bud shots from my camera .. i think you will find something you like in querkle ... like i said i enjoyed all the phenos there all really good i just like the finished product .... i lean towards that grape kool aid tasting pheno you'll see it :)

havent tried crazy train yet i have jack the ripper on the go , not to interested in it tho to be honest .... choosing seeds is hard work

thanks man , yeah there just for a personal .. i totally understand what your saying and i thought the same thing , you have just made it clear i still have clones from the f2 that look like the mother , ill just do what you say and keep doing sibling crosses from the bx . thanks for your advice ill keep posting my findings on this thread ....
