Question 4 Electrician?

i have a 400w hps running on 12/12 cycle in my first week of flowering and i have a little portable heater...pic at the bottom.

The problem is, wen the heater is running the light wont turn on. If i have the light on and then turn the heater on, it turns the light off. This is a big problem because its getting cold and my grow room is under my house susceptible to the cold weather....WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS???

You can run an extension cord from another electrical outlet to your heater. Pretty easy fix.

You need to pull the heater load from another circuit. Finding a new circuit may mean running an extension cord from somewhere close in the house. You can get an inexpensive power meter to see if you are getting a voltage drop on that circuit with one of the two on, if that's the case, don't put too much load on it, as you have already found out. I don't think I would ever put an electric heater on the same circuit as the lamp, just as a precaution. Electric heaters draw just too much power.
I would consider the heater a temporary solution, if you have a stable, cool environment ( like a basement or so ) the best way to get more heat is with more light.
Ideal fix : add a new circuit and light the place up.

okk. its in 12/12 cycle and during the dark period the temps in there are like 62-63F. I already have the heater runnning from a different extension cord and its on a completely different outlet up in my room. It still has the problem as if the heater is taking up so much power. I have a hole in my floor where the cord is running so the only outlets i can plug it into is my room. But they are on different outlets. I really dont know what to do, its flowering time and the plants look great, i dont want to waste my whole grow just because i couldn't regulate the temperature.

the outlets in your room are probably on the same breaker. if so tthats what's tripping it. usually in a room all outlets aren't on the same breAker. could be in your case which means you need to find an outlet that isn't on a breaker with a ton of watts being used. try extension cords to outlets not on the same circut.
