Question about 24/0 or 18/6 For lights

Hi Everyone,

I have a question. Right now I have my plants running on 24 hours of light a day. Is this bad or good? Im getting a lot of mixed answers from reading threads.

If 18/6 is better ill switch it over to that.

Thanks

I agree with brownie, but having done both ways, no major difference that I could tell

Now I run week one 24/0, then 20/4

A week before flip (usually after 3rd week) I drop to 18/6

Sort of mimicking mother nature

I also pop seeds on a new moon, and try to harvest on a waning moon

Doesn't make a large difference in my experience. I think you get slightly faster growth with 24/0 but ive never done a side by side to test that out. Respiration in plants produces co2 water, and is a important roll in the citric acid cycle. In an indoor controlled environment we are usually providing all those things. Except in organic amendment gardening I would think that the citric acid cycle plays a large roll.

Im currenty growing a jack herer and after germination i ran 18/6 for about 20days to develop a good root system due to darkness, however the rest of my 6 week veg i turned it to 24/0. In in week 5 of flower now and my girl is beautiful and bushy. CAM00287.jpgCAM00287.jpg
