Question about bulb sockets

I am about to upgrade from 600 watt to 1000 watt. Can I use the same socket for the 1000 that I used for my 600 or should I buy a new socket?

Going from Digital Greenhouse 600W ballast to Solis-Tek Matrix 1000W ballast. Also moving from cheap shitty bulbs to either Hortilux or Ushio... not sure which I am going to go with yet. I'm hoping the change will make a big difference.

For the cost of your name brand bulb.......I can get 6 industrials that, in the long run, cost to effective result,,,says, run the industrials!
Sylvania bulbs do just fine!

$60 for a top of the line bulb is not that bad. The mistake most people make is buying at the grow store where the prices are jacked up like crazy.

If I had many lights than I would reconsider but since I just have the one, the cost of the bulbs are not an issue for me.
