question about cloning

ok well im like 7 to 8 weeks into flowering i was wondering could i after i harvest re-veg my plants than take clones off of the re-veg?
since i cant do clones now i was wondering if i could just do it this way

take a cut from a lower undeveloped branch

leave it in 24/0 light untill root and it shoot new leaves its may look like its dieing but its not give it some time to turn back

you could, but havesting will be a pain as you need to keep as much of the plant as possible. after your havest and turn the lights back to 18/6 or 24/0 the plant will stress the shit out and take 2-3 weeks to start growing again. it might turn hermi from the stress as well so taking clones before you know your plants sex is risky.
taking clones from a stressed out plant will also be harder as it takes enough stress to root a cutting anyway.

never done it but thats my understanding of things.

so if i took a small branch from at the bottom that has a tiny bud at the tip would that work? also can someone give me a link to a guide for cloning?

right now im broke and wont be paid for 2 weeks so i dont have any rooting hormone.. anything i could use or make to do it?
