question about cooling in cold climates -31f/-35c

Pumps are like .5 amps and slightly higher for fans, so it’s very economical to run but expensive to set up and get started. To cool my 4K room it cost around 3 grand but... it’s all relative.
I bought everything from Chillx and I can’t say enough about the customer service as well as the quality of the equipment

Did I miss something? Is the only reason you cant vent to your house a lack of proper carbon filtering?

Pretty easy to add a couple filters. They even have these inline carbon filters that make it so the air can be filtered 2 times before its put where it's going.

I have 3x filters for my area. 2 scrubbing the room and 1 on the exhaust. Theres only a faint smell in the room at harvest and even though I vent to my house via the hvac system theres no smell.

no i have carbon filters, if you can have proper cooling all year round with no vents and all the walls and ceiling sprayed with closed cell spray foam you can do a sealed room with c02 enrichment. the point of this thread is to find a unit that works in the temperatures in the thread title unless there isnt such a thing then we'll explore ideas like pulling cold air from outside, closed loop systems within the building envelope, etc.

i'll assume this is the unit outside that your talking about, i've read the description but it doesnt have a minimum outside operating temperature in the description i'll hafta phone if i'd like more information. are you positive it will run under the exterior temperature in the thread title?

With a 50/50 propylene glycol to water you are good down to -60. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page on the link you posted those are the air handlers for outside

You can buy cold weather units , my mini is rated for Canadian winters . Good for -40 I think .

alot of good information in this thread everyone has been very helpful its hard for me to keep up since im working so much this time of year. im definatly going to look into those chillx units probably get one setup right next to my split when i have more money the room is coming along slowly i'll post some photos. in the photos you'll see a mess of drywall i tore down a wall im going to moving it over and moving a door in the corner of the room where you'll see an old 6" hose for the air cooled light i had befor. i got a new 200amp panel, a 30amp 240v box with a trigger cord, i picked up 4x 1000watt solis-tek ballasts they can ignite single ended or double ended bulbs, i ended up going with single ended for now with 4x yield master 6" air cooled hoods from sun system for now until i get something for proper cooling in temperatures lower than -15c once i get that setup i'll switch to double-ended fixtures, im good for the summer time now though i installed a 2.5 ton mini split with an air handler on the wall. im hoping next year when i have more money to burn i'll tear down all the drywall and buy some froth paks they are kits you can buy to spray all your own closed cell insulation then i'll redrywall and hopefully get something like those chillx units for the winter

Try to use the waste heat to keep your house warm. That can save a lot of money and keep things nice and toasty.

What are you using to cool the rooms in moderate to hot weather? I run glycol loops as well but have 400’ of buried copper tubing and run a 30% glycol mix through it. A mechanical chiller is used when needed in the heat of summer. I keep my reservoirs chilled using tube in tube heat exchangers to circulate and create waterfalls. The primary loops are on digital stat pumps. It was pretty busy in there lol, but it’s unplugged as I can grow enough outdoors for free now lol.
