question about density

okay i just finishing up my first round. 2 1000 watt lumitek. lemon skunk, sour cream, cole train. the lemon skunk was very dense to my likeing but the other two were kind of whispy. they look great but just are not as dense as i prefer. did i make a mistake or is it just the different strains?

2 x 1000 watt lumitek air cooled

8 inch vortek fan carbon filter
2 air king fans
temps 75 to 80 day 70 to 75 night
humidity 45% due to humidifier

use coolers so nute temps stay at 66 to 70

it all depends really on genetics, how close the lights were, nutes etc, but assuming all was done correctly and grown right, just the strains

I'd agree - genetics are hugely important. If there weren't deficiencies obvious, or disease, or stress... with that much light, they should be pretty solid.

I have recently discovered the benefits of adding silica to my nute mix on feeding days. This has improved the density of my buds and the overall heartiness of the plants very noticeably. I have been using Silica Blast, which is just potassium silicate. This product makes me have to adjust the pH up a bit more than usual in my watering/feeding-FYI.

Please tell me more, Where do you get it...

I would guess that it could be your genetics if those were just as close to the light as the ones that turned out good.
