Question about DWC

I am currently finishing up my 2nd grow, I have a current thread of my grow for anyone who's interested. Anyway, for my next grow I am thinking of going with a dwc setup (trying to replicate See More Buds Vol #1) I don't have the money for an aqua mist system so I wanna go with DWC. My idea is to use 2 of the longest Rubbermaid totes I can find and cut holes in the tops for about 50 clones each with either 2 or 3 inch net pots. Planning on using two 600 watt hps in flowering and using Flouro's for seedling and Veg state. Does this sound doable if so can anyone give me a list of the things I would need and any tips or wisdom from people that have done anything similar to this. I know the basics of what I need like air pumps, air stones, Ppm/ Ph meter, and liquid fertilizers. I want to clone mothers and grow the clones for about 3 weeks then move them to flower and repeat every three weeks so after the initial 8 weeks I'll be harvesting every three weeks after. I may just use 30 clones every three weeks. Is it reasonable to expect an oz a plant on a setup like this? I have a lot of questions and I need a mentor LOL. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/606150-step-right-up-folks-guess-5.html Check out the grow place your guess only about 3 or 4 weeks left, I am growing Special Kush #1, RQ's Fruit Spirit, and Sleestack x Skunk.

That many plants ur best bet is to just flower from root and not give any veg at all otherwise ur just gonna end up with a bunch of plants fighting and competing for space..
I wouldnt recommend doing so id if u can veg for 3 weeks expect big plants give them there own bucket or tote for maximum yield.
Hope that helps

...yeah man, DWC can be fun and it can produce some very nice yields but it can also be a pain in the ass and i can promise you that those bins you speak of using will buckle under the weight of 50, or even 30, plants, plus, with that many in a single bin they will become VERY crowded which can lead to all sorts of problems with pests and fungi and such.

...if you want a simple, repeatable method to produce a reliable supply of quality ganja and with similar results to a DWC, just WAY simpler to run and maintain, then i'd strongly recommend you consider hempy-buckets as an alternative.

in the beginning when you are new and don't know yet how to read your plants then simple is good, simple means when things go wrong it will be easy to diagnose and treat, simple means you will be able to relax and enjoy your garden rather than becoming a slave to it.

...so, in an effort to help you learn how to simplify rather than complicate i offer you a few threads that changed my life and might could change yours as well.

I am liking the Hempy method, seems like something that could work for me. I have a lot to think about but plenty of time to do it in. Thanks for the advice and check out my grow if you guys get a chance.

i'd like to mention that there is a very active hempy community here at RIU with a long central thread that i have failed to read yet, i'm stll new here so i link to stuff i know about kinda automatically.

anyway, here is the link to that thread authored my fellow RIU member Moebius and even though i haven't read it yet i'm certain it contains MUCH information you can use, as well as testimonials from fellow growers who are still active members so will be available to answer questions if and when you have them.
