Question About Going In A Rental

if it states no illegal activities then he is well within his legal rights to kick you out. It is not about the growing, it is about the criminal act.
Most leases do say that there can be no criminal activity... But if you are a legal medical grower then you are not committing any criminal activity.

Seems as though you have answered your own question with your uncles stance on mmj.

If you are close to him tell him you respect his view but if you cant grow you want to move.

If he is a fair man he will let you stay and grow. If he is really dead set against it even more than what he feels for you he will respect you for asking him before you do it.

Tell your uncle you would like to purchase the house on a land contract, so that you can get a few plants going to deal with you medical issues. Tell him the money you save from growing your own will help with the purchase of the house. If he doesn't like it, tell someone else and they will sell you a house.

What is the deal with the insurance not being covered? Seriously? Just on a rental, or any house with a grow? That sounds kinda hard to believe. This is a medical state. Insurance companies ask if you have a pitbull or a wood stove. They never asked me if I grew dope. I'm kinda lit, I may have misunderstood something.

Any lease that I have signed/seen has only stated you will not violate state or local ordinance in regards to criminal activity.
The University of Michigan lease used widely in Ann Arbor by private landlords mentions both state and federal laws. It sucks...

Get Progressive Insurance. The CEO supported our MMJ law, and they cover your grow. If your plants get taken in a robbery, they reimburse you $1000 per plant. Great company...

AAA said when we bought house our auto would go down and we would get deal on both. Well mortgage dude from grand rapids said damn. my insurance guy can beat that rate pretty easy i bet. We were like, nah we are good. Then out fucking auto is higher than ever. Just switched to Geico two weeks ago and told them to take a flying fuck. When our homeowner's is up, it will be progressive. I am going to start working on this shit real quick.
