question about growth during the flowering phase - using elephant outdoor strain

buckets

Hi Everyone!

Hope my message finds everyone in good spirits. Man, it's dam hot where I am. I had the idea to use a big bucket for water collection so I'd be far away from a water source where eye in the sky and ganja bandits patrol...the idea worked great for the veg stage but for the entire month of July not one bit of rain. So now my water bucket is empty minus a little I left for the frog that's moved in.

I've started hiking in once every week with 20 - 2 litre size plastic water bottles full of water. Man do I sweat on that hike! But the plants that are there are between 4-5 feet tall with lots of branches going every which way. If I go past a week without watering them, the soil cracks and the leaves point downwards in a very unhappy look which I'm trying not to repeat.

My question, which I hope you'll be kind enough to answer is about growth during the flowering phase. The elephant outdoor is an indica but the site where I bought them from reveals nothing else about them. I was wondering how much growth these plants will continue to have or will they stop growing in august and just concentrate on growing out bud? I did a search on the internet about growth during flowering phase and one person said they'd double in height? Are they serious?

They said it is ready in late september so I am quite curious what's in store for me over the remaining 7 weeks that's left. What's the reality of plant growth during the flowering phase?

I thank anyone that answers this thread!

Best of energies...

I don't know anything about the strain but, assuming it does have 7 weeks left you can expect another week or two of major growth spurts. After that it'll be mostly bud growth. Probably finish around 7-8 feet.

Even if you dont get any more vertical growth your plants will need just as much if not more water during flowering. Set up maybe another buckets or 2 for insurance and pray for rain or your gonna be lugging in a lot of water.

much appreciated. Thanks for your replies. Having trouble posting this message. Not sure why.:joint:
